They refer to, goal-wise
It can also be so, when we play
And they are attracted, we know
By anything golden, that glows,
So it´s time, maybe
For the green kit, to see
For we don´t want them stealing the show
And if we, in yellow should shine
Those Magpies up there on the Tyne,
Could just fly away
With the prize on the day
And for us, it would feel like a crime
They have made quite a flying start
So expect no mercy on their part,
If our pot of gold
Is left out in the cold
Unguarded, while we make a dart...
..for their own well defended store
With Beefeater Krul on the door,
´twill be hard to force
But our Trojan Horse
Might easily come to the fore
There´s no doubt the battle will rage
And breaking through could take an age,
But on Norfolk field
We´re not quick to yield
And revel in taking centre stage
And although our troops are quite new
At this, we´ve still surprised a few,
And defeated some
Who thought they had won
Will that list include General Pardew?
He´s certainly taken command
In a way that naturally demands,
Our respect, but we
Do have Lambert P.
A General in the making, who´s armed
So whatever game those Magpies play
This Saturday, and come what may,
Let´s hope they don´t feel
That it was a steal
And we don´t feel robbed on the day.
