I still can't decide if he's just really unlucky, or just ****. I do know i'm glad they signed him and not us.I actually like Nunez and think he could be a useful player for us, his goals are bad this season but last 2 seasons have been decent. It just isnt a like for like swap with Isak and doesn't make sense for us.

He's given an interview recently where he pretty much said he doesn't really want it. Likes his current number and doesn't want to change. What I'd love to see happen is for him to take the 9 this Summer. That would shut a lot of these idiots up.

There's a player in there for sure. I think if they'd signed him for £30m and he spoke perfect English explaining that he's learning and improving but just wants to do well then I think the narrative around him would be different.
He's only 25 and he's a menace, he's not great but I'd take him over Havertz 10 times out of 10 and if we had him I'd at least have an outside hope it could just click. He's nowhere near as bad as some make out.
I wish he wouldn't keep disproving my arguments by doing what he just did.....IYKYK
You're right! In fairness though what most coaches and scouts would say is that he did all the hard stuff (reading of the game, movement and timing his run, etc.) and just lacks the composure to then do the last bit. I remember Sean Wright-Phillips being asked about a sitter he once missed and pointing out that there were 4-5 players who could have gone for the ball and he ran past all of those first but you only see the bit that goes wrong.
He's like Isak but with a composure stat of 1 rather than 20.
Havertz. Not exactly a high bar. There's a player in there for sure. I think if they'd signed him for £30m and he spoke perfect English explaining that he's learning and improving but just wants to do well then I think the narrative around him would be different.

Just to put everything into context. And I know he’s a human being. He's having an absolute mare tonight.
But yeah, definitely is a player in there, just really low on confidence right now.
Havertz.......if i were Arsenal i'd try and sue him and his agent for fraud by false representation, there is no way that bloke is a footballer.Havertz. Not exactly a high bar.

I'll only be happy with Isak going if he happens to be a money hungry mercenary and goes to Saudi for £150mil.
The best part of that wouldn't even be the deal, it would be the tears from the rest of the league. How about this...
A Saudi club buys him for £150m.
Then immediately loan him back to us, indefinitely.
Huge wedge of cash up front for our transfer kitty and we still keep the player.
Sorted.

Ekitike is the only thing that you could replace Isak with.
