The thread dj is referring to, is about a stream of people leaving from the 80th minute when they were 2-1 up.
The data sets you free. There was a survey of Premier League fans last season, where 23% admitted to leaving games early.
35% of them said it was to avoid the traffic, 30% said it was because they were being soundly beaten and the balance were a variety of other things like work commitments, family functions etc.
It's absolutely not a City thing, it happens all over.
When they were in the PL, they used to charge full season prices for half season of football, well they all used to leave at halftime anyway. Usually after someone had thrown their season ticket at the manager.was just on the Sunderland board and they have a thread about leaving early, which is weird, cos we are the only club this happens at...![]()

Tbf it’s Everton v Man U on Saturday 1230Leaving early doesn’t seem to be limited to actually being in the stadium either. You only have to look through the away game threads on here to see how many people decide to turn off their stream and watch something else the moment an opposition goal goes in.
People say they've done that but I wonder how many of them really do, or momentarily switch off then go back again?Leaving early doesn’t seem to be limited to actually being in the stadium either.
