I think we need to win this one we really do.
    Team wise it’s a mess isn’t it.
    So pick your team

Egan didn't do much wrong but his playing out from the back was so slow and he hardly ever passed forward. McLoughlin's probably the best passer out of our centre-halves available. Also need an actual left-back at left-back as McLoughlin just has no pace whatsoever. Norwich have quick wingers which brings me to my next point: Coyle or Drameh vs Sainz. I'm going with Drameh because he's quicker and also a better 1v1 defender, in my opinion. Crooks looked like a pub player yesterday. If Puerta doesn't play a minute on Saturday, something stinks.

Under Walter Drameh would play at left back and I seem to remember he was fine. Probably as good as Jacob if not slightly better. It pisses me off seeing players played out of position when there's someone on the sidelines that can play in their primary position. I reckon Barry will start.

Need to start using the **** pitch as a strength, nice leveler against the better sides.

Starting lineup? Struth, must keep Selles awake at night.

    Pandur
    Jones Mcloughlin Jacob Coyle
    Alzate Matazo Puerta
    Pedro Gelhardt Barry

I pick Jacob and Coyle with some trepidation but I think we need to try and field the same starting 11 for at least 2 or 3 games and I don't think Drameh is consistent enough and McLoughlin isn't a LB.

I've gone for City win - partly because we are absolutely desperate for a win. That said I suspect Josh Sargent will score for them

    2-1 City

Dont mind this team, if he doesnt play Puerta for "political " reasons then he has to bring Slater back in.
cant go with same midfield as last night, just seemed to have no legs in it at all.

Yeah With Hernandez, Bowen and Wilson up front we'd be laughing

Puerta really needs to be playing this one. I'd have Puerta, Slater, and Alzate in the middle. Bags of energy in the middle of the park may go some way towards papering over the cracks.

Puerta was a regular under selles until the sheff game and then benched twice in a row

    He says its tactical

Surely we cant just keep chopping and changing

Tactical my arse. Is he hoping to get a decent hand out of Alzate, Palmer, Matazo, Slater, Crooks so he doesn't need to buy Puerta? Or is it something to do with Zambrano?

The most likely explanation for Puerta not playing is simply that with Crooks and Matazo here he's now the fourth choice for those midfield positions who play in front of Alzate. We have a lot of good options there now.

Im pretty tired of our constant recruitment
    Footballing talent aside

It makes it hard to even grow to like the players as we use about 50 diff players every 18 months

    Bit off topic there

Bowen, Wilson, Hernandez. All supreme quality. That is what we're missing.

That would be a credible suggestion other than the fact that neither of them appears currently fit enough to play more than one half and even when they’re substituted, he doesn’t get on.
