Top 5. In order. Need an Ernie Shackleton or Howden 'buzzin' Tigress to tot up the scores on the doors tho. Mine: Godfather 2 Apocalypse now. Shawshank redemption. Aliens. Once upon a time in America. Now mods, when Sinik inevitably doesn't move to a pub side in Turkiye by the weekend, can we close the transfer thread please?
I am curious (yellow) Five Easy Pieces A Day At The Races Seven Chances Themroc - honourable mention Battleship Potemkin
Not sure whether this should be on the argument thread, but if you don't watch Foreign Language films, you're an uncultured ****. (And more than likely missing films off your favourites list).
The major problem with knowing a foreign language is that you increase the amount of **** you have to listen to. 90% of whatever anyone says, including me, isn't worth listening to. Few things are better than being in a country where you don't understand a thing and not having to listen to anything said or written and answering any question or request with an apologetic shrug and ppl just letting you get on with what you want - ultimate peace. Conventional knowledge tells us that learning other languages opens us up to new opinions and wisdom, but in reality, it just opens us up to hearing more adults tell us they're tired, being obliged to attend pointless meetings and to hear about various ailments.
What's everyone think of our 'Winter 2025 (which was actually 2024) Transfer Window' business? Do you think we'll add a free agent still? Anymore outgoings?
Once upon a time in America Goodfellas Carlito's Way Citizen Kane La Dolce Vita Bonus...Papillion, The Ladykillers, Some Like it Hot (originals, of course) Get Shorty.
Really interesting stuff but I must point out that I'm not that cultured, I only watch subtitles! They just tend to have better storylines imo.
one of the best posts ive ever seen and its true aint it the thought of speaking foreign language seems exciting and exotic but people just say the same old ****
