Some one posted the pitiful defensive stats from the weekend so think we need to highlight last night: Newcastle won 53 duels, 43 clearances and won 21 tackles.

That, surely, goes to show they were holding back and had an eye on last nights game. That or Howe tore into them after the game, maybe a bit of both.

I seem to recall NUST somehow swept them all up and left just about 10 tickets for thousands if fans to fight over in a so-ballot that nobody won.

My memory was 99% went to the season ticket holders and members who'd been to the cup games and then 1% went to the players and staff.

I was/am a member who'd been to the Cup game vs Palace on the cup-run but still missed out but don't remember any being available for non members tbh. Haven't had the chance to get to a game this year with the little one arriving in August - Mrs would kill me if I disappeared for a weekend bender up the toon - so won't be able to get a ticket in all likelihood but I'll get up Landan Taan for a bev in Trafalgar².

I'm sure some NUST guys got in because if you are volunteering for that position or a member of NUST you probably are a season ticket holder or a member at least of the club.
