Your second paragraph, got to admit I did think it odd a meat eater selling products for vegans. I think the reason I thought it odd, is because I know how strict some vegans are about everything - as you have found. How do you ensure the products you make, are not made by the same utensils that process or come in contact with any meat products you have, and that goes right down the line of hygiene as well, in regards to hands and surface washing. Extreme I know but some are. Much as you know when you sell products, identifying allergies as well, so ensuring that someone does not have an allergy to coconut, although I expect you get asked how your products are made, let alone it can also be a liability for you as a trader. Bit like people saying vegans constantly going on about they are vegan, but I understand why in some circumstances, much like me not eating cheese, trying to get that into people's thick skulls sometimes is difficult. Then you get the remarks because you have oat milk instead of cows milk, so that judgement works both ways. Be interesting to know the various religions take on animal cruelty, because there's plenty of it going on to bring the carnivores their products. I've gone on a bit there, not aimed at you specifically but demonstrating there are two sides to the argument.
Yeah Atheism is just another belief system, you can't prove that there is no God or deity I think some people are probably more Agnostic that Atheist, but to be Atheist and deny that a God exists is a bit short sighted imo
The products I used to sell at that event weren't specifically vegan, they just happen to be safe for vegans to eat as they don't have any animal products in them. You know, kind of like Porridge isn't a 'vegan' food as such, but it just happens to be safe for vegans. My work kitchen is separate from my kitchen at home, so I only use those utensils, work surfaces etc for my products. And yeah to operate commercially, you have to be strict as **** on hygiene and allergies etc. I just thought the reasoning about the money thing was ridiculous, unless you want to take all of your money out of the bank (they don't only invest in non vegan stuff, but also into arms companies, big polluters etc etc) never shop in a supermarket ever again, never buy any insurance or have a pension etc as all of those things invest into questionable activities, let alone being non vegan. I just saw it as a self defeating isolationist stance to take And I was ****ed off because that event was a good earner
Religions require a 'deity' - don't know of any that don't have one ... but other than that, you are quite correct. I'm not religious, but I wouldn't dismiss anybody's beliefs either; partly because that would be disrespectful - but also a theory that the earth and it's lifeforms were born out of random particles colliding in space seems no more less likely (to me) than there being a 'creator' ... so I'm open minded - there are things beyond my comprehension - things I can't explain - but one thing that resonates is that, throughout our world, throughout known history - indigenous peoples all seem to have a 'creation myth' - stories and legends that existed for thousands of years before Christianity or Islam in places where people had never encountered each other.

It is a case of more by design than by accident ? Or is it that we wouldn't exist if these specific set of circumstances that gave life on Earth the chance to flourish, so wouldn't be here to ask these questions otherwise ?
Yeah I see it from your point of view, but I do also see it from the other perspective, maybe they just don't understand how strict you are at seperating the two. So do you just sell vegan ice cream or dairy ice cream as well, because if I was vegan that would open up a barrage of questions if you cater for both lol. Like I say mate, don't see it as a criticism of you, I just know how strict some vegans are, and the sort of questions you could get asked. I find the topic interesting, especially from a business point of view, and knowing the ins and outs of this stuff.
That's because to my knowledge we have an innate need to worship...it's built into us like reproduction is. You tell me the difference between a hardcore footy fan lauded by thousands for being a great fan, the best, the most commited and someone who follows an organised faith? There is a place of worship...the temple or a stadium There is a dress code...whatever organised religion attire or a football kit, football garments in certain colours Religions have songs, prayers...footy fans display their loyalty with songs anti other teams or pro their own Religions have a focal point...footy fans worship the players. Religious extremists are violent...footy fans and footy history is riddled with violence driven by the love for their own 'club' call it their 'god' It's inbuilt...there is an innate need to worship in order for a human to feel fulfilled...if they don't find God for whatever reason, they will find something else sooner or later and that is defined by how they see and treat that something.
Yeah I do both, but I have a separate churning machine for the vegan stuff. (I've actually been fixing that today) I get it that if you're vegan, you don't want any contamination with animal products. But not spending £1 of any of your money on non vegan stuff I would imagine to be almost impossible, unless you want take all of your money out of the bank, and never use supermarkets etc ever again. Even down to your phone and internet provider, I would imagine that companies like Sky, EE, Vodaphone etc invest into companies that aren't exclusively vegan and their employees aren't 100% vegan either, so it's just a dead end stance to take.
