Transfer Rumours The “What the F**k’s the point in another transfer window thread- Winter 2025 Transfer thread

But what if we lose to bottom of the league Southampton because we play like crap, don't change the formation or tactics and bring Longstaff on for Bruno after 60 minutes?
That won’t happen. I don’t think. And if it did I would probably explode anyways.

But then we have to find £10m each year for next 4 seasons just to cover that and so on
Yes, but the better the squad gets, the more you can sell the fringe players for as they are better quality. Then the more you can spend. And so on. so it becomes easier and easier, IF you play it sensibly and not spunk millions on ****e like Man U have.

We need to upgrade our **** / knackered players soon. Seel to buy.

Have you ever tried selling ****?

When you amortise by 4 or 5 year contracts, then yes, probably. The £10m being reported for Miggy could be a £50m transfer kitty.

Problem is that 's then £10m a year onto the next 5 year's accounts which then potentially hinders further purchases. So the amortization that is frequently cited as the PSR saviour for clubs such as ours could long term have implications.

We really need to get into Player trading such as Chelsea and Man City do to allow to counteract the build up of amortized costs. For this I think the new training facility that has been talked about recently is invaluable. We need to invest heavily to make our academy the primary destination for all North east talent so taht we too can both bring through new players as well as sell on those that are not going to have a future at Newcastle.

It's a long term pay off but feels the only way to go...
