Echo said so at the time, now whether the Echo is capable enough at news journalism to accurately report that or not is another matter.

It should have been an arts project prize for local schools, individuals and groups, far better use of the meagre funds available due to austerity. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

MAGA, your favorite Trump supporter here from the USA. Why do y'all give a **** about Trump and the fact that the people voted for a change with the presidentcy, congress and the house. Do you think that we give a **** who you vote for in the UK. Get the **** over it, or for the next 12 years, your minds will explode.

Because sadly what the US does impacts everyone else. It's not that complicated. Who we vote for in the UK has little impact on what happens in the US, plus people in the US have historically had little idea about what happens outside of their borders, because they have a massively inflated and insular sense of themselves.

Most of the previous pages have been to do with Elon Musk too, who seems to be obsessed by what's happening in the UK. Funny old world isn't it?

    Hope that helps.

As you say over there, have a nice day.

Yes, how dare we take an interest in something that will affect global politics for the next 4 years. Absolutely outrageous!

Also, the one thing you are all forgetting is that it is amusing to see another country self inflicted wounds on itself.

I think more indicative of the culture of services that are so process driven that they avoid responsibility outside of their defined scope and don’t take responsibility to ensure that something is done by someone when it’s necessary
“He’s a risk, but he’s not our risk”

Struggling with my wording here, hopefully you understand what I mean

In my field we called it “No door is the wrong door”

Jobsworth culture - seen it rise more and more through my working life.
People are actively discouraged and even reprimanded for getting too involved
    “That’s not your job”

    Leads to apathy

“Jobsworth”, that’s it, and it’s risen up the hierarchy because everything is over-regulated which leads to less responsibility

Jonathan Pie having one of his rants and hitting so many marks. His comments on the special relationship between the USA and the UK is bang on the money.

It's also pretty horrifying, especially when you know you could be next. We're still reeling from Brexit, and Farage is waiting in the wings.

I am not sure whether to be worried by Farago or not. There is no way he will become PM but I can see him in a coalition

If I am honest, i think the most likely outcome for him will be that he either loses his seat in thr next election or that he is ousted before that for failing his constituents. With lack of time doing his job , the money from his 9 jobs and the fact he is a bumptious tw*t , I can see him be an I obvious candidate to be removed.

Obviously we have to include the usual "This is only one poll" disclaimer but these numbers are truly remarkable, and 99 seats would represent the worst result for an incumbent government since 1685.
