I've got plenty of relatives in Germany and it's a large stable economy. Enough people speak English while I get my German good enough to speak that.

Culturally fine, lots of pretty areas, good economy, decent climate, politically secure (despite AfB). I know more German than I do Hungarian or Romanian... (Hungarian is the worst language in the world).

Mentioned it on the war thread, but the US could end that war by supplying oil and gas to Europe. Russia's economy is on its knees as a result of its actions in Ukraine and it relies on selling gas and oil to Europe to continue funding it.

Not as simple as that. In case you didn't know gas is not that easily transported. Its all done via giant pipelines.

There are more gas liquid ships now that do transport it but you are:

1. Competing with asia for it
2. These ships are highly specialised (special storage containers), takes loads of money and time to build.
3. You still need the infrastructure in america to load these giant lng tankers and then the infrastructure in the uk to offload these giant lng tankers (think there are only 2 or 3 in the whole of the uk)
