Trump has managed to rid the US of pronouns and the usual suspects are drooling here in the UK. So much to take in with that. Then Kennedy Jnr celebrating the order to remove fluoride from drinking water. but best of all we’re the people like Laurence Fox/Russell Brand fawning over the walking Watsits
First he sorts out the Israel Palestine war and now this. Netty has got some serious competition for the Nobel peace prize.
Remember when this ****er tried to become PM and turned Labour into one big anti-semitic party. Well… MPs Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell have agreed to be interviewed under caution by police following a pro-Palestinian rally in central London on Saturday, the BBC understands. The former Labour leader, 75, and former shadow chancellor, 73, voluntarily attended a police station in the capital as the Metropolitan Police investigates what it says was a coordinated effort by organisers to breach conditions imposed on the event.
Putin and Trumpy are pals, so he knows Trump will give him what he wants. Probs what will amount to a surrender plan for Ukraine.
Bout fukin time. I said at the start of this conflict give Russia Ukraine, they can't defend themselves and we can't afford to. Couple billion down the line and we're there now anyway, as predicted. We've been rinsed
He was just waving to all the crying gender fluid weirdos before they leave America. Nice gesture tbh
Shame for all those Ukrainian lads who died defending their country like. And I guess giving the green light to dictators to invade whichever country they fancy taking over is fine Other than that...
Ain't our fukin problem til he hits France. Let all those countries pay for zebidinskis nose habit 1st.
Whereas for the sake of left wing politics you’d prefer the fighting to continue and thousands more people needlessly die? Ukraine aren’t getting the East back that Russia has taken. Time to call it a day.
It's not left wing politics as such, more about country's national soverignty. The fundamental tenant should be that dictators shouldn't be allowed to invade another country, otherwise if you legitimise that, you're opening a can of worms for leaders to invade other countries if they fancy taking a slice of it for themselves. That said, there are regions of Ukraine that identify more as Russian and that territory, for the sake of a lasting peace, will probably end up being Russian. But remember, Putin wanted the whole of Ukraine. He walked into Ukraine thinking he could take Kyiv in a matter of days, so it wasn't initially about those areas in the east, he wanted to occupy and eventually assimilate the whole country into Russian territory.
I’m not sure they’ll be all that pally this time. I get it’s not how it used to be with the USSR but I still don’t think it’s a great look with middle America to be bezzie mates with them communist types. Russia will be useful until it’s not. I don’t think Putin will be achieving his Ukraine goals for 2025. Will delete this when I’m wrong as nothing here matters.
Mentioned it on the war thread, but the US could end that war by supplying oil and gas to Europe. Russia's economy is on its knees as a result of its actions in Ukraine and it relies on selling gas and oil to Europe to continue funding it.
I’m not sure if you’re now agreeing with me or not? My comments on this thread are there for all to see. I didn’t want Ukraine to give up an inch of land but life changes and you have to be realistic instead of digging your heels in all of the time. Ukraine are never going to get back the Crimea or retake the East that they’ve lost. I watched a documentary on it and half of the population out there wanted to be Russian, anyway. However, there’s still a chance that at some point, Russia could still overrun that country. The west will remove its support before Putin runs out of men and ammo. That’s what Trump will be telling Zelensky. So, do you think the fighting should continue where thousands more die, including many innocent civilians instead of Ukraine conceding what they’ve lost and bringing an end to the war. Yes or No?
No, I don't think the fighting should continue and I agree that as of now, there are parts of Ukraine that will end up being Russian. But I think allowing those parts of Ukraine to become part of Russia will set a dangerous precedent, and like you say, at some point in the future Putin might go back in and try and take more, or possibly invade one of the Baltic countries. Mentioned it above and on the war thread, the US could have ended that war and stopped Putin in his tracks by supplying Europe with Oil and Gas, which would have crippled Russia's economy. They probably didn't as it would have affected ordinary Russians, rather than the rich oligarchs the prop Putin up. But it might be what Trump is considering in his phone call to putin to 'end the war on day one'
