It would still be treated as a crime, but it could be dealt with as a disorder which it is, the two aren't mutually exclusive.

I'd rather offenders were treated for a disorder so that they don't commit those crimes again, rather than just punished and then let out to potentially commit those crimes again,

I think most people's natural reaction, including my own, is to lob these people in a burning pit of tar

But, we don't live in a society like that, so in reality we have to find ways to deal with these problems in a way that reduces the likelihood of them reoffending.

I'm not saying it should be used as a 'get out'. It's a crime and people need to take responsibility for their actions.

Any *****philia crime needs to be treated as such under the law.

I don’t believe these people can be rehabilitated so I’d not want us spending/wasting a single penny on them.
