He’s become the player that people feel necessary to point out every time he bends over and ties his laces as a positive every match thread. Good pass Neil. Good tackle Neil. Good waving of your arms Neil.. Was O’nien last season. Making simple passes or tackles and receiving the ball and taking a player out of the game isn’t spectacular it’s what he’s there for. Calling out when he breaks up dangerous phases of play or instigates good pieces of play on our behalf then fair enough but making a 5 yard pass in your own half between a few opposition players isn’t really that. Every single 6 in football does it several times a game. He’s going to receive the ball probably 30+ times a match at a very minimum I’d expect him to beat the press more often than not. I don’t think he’s a bad player by any means he’s good at this level I just don’t think as good as some of our fans make out and I think he’d be easily replaced.
I love watching him. He makes so much space and takes opposition players out of the picture by very simple and effective movements.. He doesn’t really need a bag of tricks because he is so good at what he does.

If it’s true and both bids have been accepted. Surely playing wise it would be better competing with just Isidor rather than Moore and Campbell

A lot of people overthinking this Cannon deal. Whatever deal we're offering is because we think he's worth it and we are in the specific financial position to do so. The club have scaled the model well so far and have been fantastic in recruitment. Let's just see what happens regarding perm or loan and what fee.

It'll probably come down to money, but if I was a 22 year old striker, I'd look at our squad and see loads of young lads loving their football and developing. I'd see a supply line of Roberts, Jobe, Le Fee and I'd see a place in the starting 11 that I'd feel confident of making my own. I always wonder what players he might speak to about us and you would think he'd mention it to Gooch for starters. He will know Joe Anderson well and Alan Browne too. Then there's perhaps Pickford, Simms and Broadhead who I'm sure would all have reasonably positive things to tell him.

I'm certain we will only offer what we can and being outmuscled financially is possible. But if he's looking for more than just money, we have everything else he could want.
