Yeah lol

Like if you sign a 100m striker it doesn't count really cos you sold a GK for 20m

Bollocks, politician stuff

PNP on the Spud board was another net spend nobber

Something to do with how great Levy is because he can sell players for a profit and then buy in a load of ****e to replace them

Corrected how? They have spent hundreds of millions of pounds, sold their championship stock and have seen success in the Premier League due to it.

They've been punished for breaking financial rules since promotion, just like Everton.

It ain't no fairytale before Christmas.

It's just a narrative the minnows like to bang on about because it gives them hope. Forest have one of the wealthiest owners in the English football pyramid. They spend lots of money, they do well cos they spend lots of money. That's it.

Some clubs spend lots of money and are still ****, Everton, for example.

Tell me more about how Newcastle have spent the same, if not more.

They’ve spent more. That’s why he’s been so emotional about it on here and the mag board.

This is what pressure does when you’re close to your first trophy in 70 years.

To be fair talksport were using the invitation only fairs but as the marker this morning. Then they had Frank Clark on, Forest and Newcastle icon…..

he used the real trophy win in the 50’s.

I'm wondering when Arsenal are gonna start looking at Arteta tbh.

How many years now have they been prodding the top spot but falling at the last hurdle?

Forest net spend since turning the squad over in that first season is 62m. It’s incredible for them to be doing what they’re doing.

Firstly, I wouldn't actually mind Forest winning it ...

... but to give some perspective ... the total cost of our squad the season we won the title was around £25 million - the 'net spend' was likely under £20 million as we sold players like Chris Wood and Andrei Kramaric ... our major players in that title win, like Vardy, Mahrez, Morgan, Huth and Schmeichel all came up from the Championship with us... and cost a combined £3.5 million!

Chris Wood is the common denominator here.

We shouldn't have sold him, Howe bottled it to give his mate Callum more game time

yeah, he has done a decent job, spent a bit of cash. Has a trophy in the bank, but soon that’s going to be 5 years. Pressure to deliver a trophy this year is on.

tonight should be a cracking game, return leg at SJP helps Newcastle slightly

My point being that Forest's current situation owes a great deal to significant spending since they came up ( Ipswich too for that matter ) - don't begrudge them ... FFP and PSR are a farce ... as I've consistently said ... trade constraints -

... wouldn't surprise me to see Forest docked points later in the season if it looks like they might stay in a CL spot <laugh>

Moyes might still be available... and Ponky's a fan <whistle>

It’s not significant spending compared to the rest of the premier league and certainly shouldn’t have them anywhere near 2nd place in the league…

I see the finance mental gymnastics are in full flow. Forest ruffling feathers while the **** clubs fans dangle from their balls.
