Normally I'd scoff at the Echo reporting it but because he's included more detail than was already known there may be some substance to it...
The more I think about Le Fee, the more sense it makes. Not playing at Roma and they need to recoup what they paid. Nobody is going to pay that until he's proven himself. No Premier League club would loan him right now. The best way of getting a £20m+ fee for him is sending him out on loan, ideally to a place where he can play regularly and impress. We could then agree to pay £20m for him if we get promoted. And if we don't get promoted, he'll have had the premier league seeing what he's all about in the mean time. He can either return to Roma and be a player for them, or impress and get a Premier League move.
Trying to not get excited until I see the scarf over their heads haha, I can’t spend a month on YouTube highlights again
It's taken a while for the change of attitude but I'm much more excited to see how Watson, Mayenda, Mundle, Rigg, etc develop than us bringing in new players. The squad needs some work, but not major.
Le Fee on loan with a buy option dependent on promotion makes a lot of sense. Presumably, Roma would subsidise his wages rest of season, but with Prem money we could probably afford to pay him what he wants. Don't necessarily think it would mean Neil / Jobe / Rigg would be off in summer, either. More likely it would be Browne who leaves in summer if we go up, with Browne staying and Le Fee back to Roma if we stop in the Championship, imo.
Same here, but if we want to chase auto's we need to add 2/3 quality players to get us over the line, KLD notices our chance here i'd like to think
We probably have scouted him but doesn't mean we are going to sign him Sounds like his agent is trying to drum up interest in him
