...Since buying the club ENIC have put in £150m of their dosh. That was during Conte's time as coach. That's it. £100m was spent on players, the rest is still in the club's accounts...
I think that part is 100% right.Precisely what is partly wrong about this?
I think that part is 100% right.
I don't think the rest of your post disproves my claim that all our excess revenue is spent on the team though because I think the £150m plus the increased loans after Covid are sufficient to cover all the non player capital expenditure.
My analysis is quite simple.I'm very willing to accept proof of your conjecture...but, as for my original statement, there isn't any. That's the problem with the structure and machinations of the club, it's murky waters. Money and assets are shunted around, making it tortuous, even for those with far greater skills than I ever possessed, to get a true handle on things.
It may be that the 2022 capital injection squared the account, but I wouldn't bet on it, not a penny piece. If it was, whether any account was taken of vast inflation in the football market, I doubt highly.
I'm confident that whatever the outcome of tallying the capital investment against non-football spending of football money, it does nothing to address the issue of priorities at the club. Where money is required for thecdevelopment of property, it has precedence over sporting need. It has done throughout ENIC's ownership and is likely to do so again, unless ENIC can find a sucker to 'buy in' at an inflated value. The building works must proceed at all costs.
