Think we'll be willing to let him go if a good bid came in as seelt will be the next one to come through.

I hope not. Ballard is a bloody good player. Maybe Seelt could fill his shoes, but I can't say I'm optimistic about that.

He is a very good player but it's why we bring in young lads, buy low sell high

I'd only sell Ballard if 2 things are done:
- the price is right (I'd be looking for 12 million with add ons)
- we sign Mepham on a perm deal

I'm a big fan of ballard but Mepham is an upgrade so if we were to replace Ballard with Mepham and still have money left over that would be cracking business.

I'd rather he stayed till the end of the season tho as he will have a big part to play

It’s a long way from the days of refusing to sell Kone to Everton. We didn’t have anyone at the club to step up to replace him or trust ourselves to spend the money on a better/equivalent player.

Ballard offers something neither Mepham or o9 does, he is big strong and a good threat at set pieces. I would rather lose o9 if one had to go. Plus there is no guarantee we could get Mepham on a perm.
