Methven has royally f***** things up again, I do not blame Jones for not playing the Jamaican, I cannot remember his name. Methven has probably poked his hooter into things and questioned Jones why he is not playing him. I'm with Jones on this if he is being stubborn and not playing him out of principle. Besides, Jones has nothing to lose, he gets the tin tack and trousers a wedge.

Because let’s be honest, the SMT is just as culpable as Jones in this mess. If those American investors have even the slightest interest in us, they should sweep that boardroom clean tonight, change the locks, and seek advise from Curbishley. ********************* The clock is ticking at several levels: points and performances are required in the league; planning for the January window; appraisal of the overall football strategy. The question is can anybody see anything changing anytime soon. Given that things need to change, who should be in charge of strategy design and execution?
"When one takes a long term perspective of a decade or more into the future, it soon emerges that the departure of Scott & Jones becomes a case of when not if! We should also consider the future commercial expansion of CAFC over and above the addition of £3M revenues this season. Promotion will be a massive boost whenever that happens, but that comes with a doubling of the wage bill to survive in the Championship. My third point is that we should surely hope that investors and CEO plus the new board chair really shouldn't waste this crisis! Let them be bold in restating the football narrative, especially how we might break out of mid-table mediocrity. For it's downright average delivery that will ensure decline, possibly terminal". ****** Earlier this afternoon, wtf is he going on about?!
He's really lost the plot this this time Imagine Scott and Jones still being in their current jobs ten years from now Even the very concept is deranged, as well as nauseating.
“Perhaps we might all assist the SMT, by purchasing a half time beverage or the occasional lounge pass “

When you say good enough what performance/ league position benchmark are you setting? Replying to you and clarky I'd suggest that the addition of a decent head three quality attacking players could make all the difference **** Ridiculous STILL didn't answer Grapevine
100% WUM. “We already have 15 players worth keeping in the squad for next season “ We are 13th in the table, & have only netted 18 times in the league this season. We haven’t got 5 players worth keeping, let alone 15. I’m not saying Charles Hawtrey (SR) is low energy, but he struggles to get the cap off the toothpaste in the morning.
If the target is the play-offs, developing younger players, and delivering an increase in chances created, then it's clear to me that we're on track with the back five. We have one of the best defences in the League, as Jones keeps reminding us. We can always debate next summer whether we need an upgrade on Mannion, but let's watch him and the rest play out the season. ****** Wtf, our defence has more holes than a tea bag.
The past few days has been the nearest the clown has come to giving an opinion since he first posted on boards. Grapevine has done some good work pressing and challenging him.
All jokes aside, this guy is basically a clown. “Half our fanbase predates Selhurst” Stupid remark. We went to Selhurst 40 years ago - we took a hardcore of 5,000, max. Like many, I was an ever present 86-90, but the two guys I stood at Selhurst with are now long gone. I’d be surprised if there are 1,000 left from those who actually got off their arses and went to Selhurst (note that Hawtrey never says that he does….) Half the fanbase
Ridiculous left CAST if I'm not mistaken. Squirrel and gang were poison and so engaging was a waste of time. Keep buying a tea and pie, that'll put money in the kitty.
"PS back in 2016 CAST leadership handed the reins to CARD and even broke off their engagement with the CAFC board. Given that engagement is a fundamental part of their constitution and raison d'etre one wonders how that relationship could ever be fully restored?" ***** What is the point when all you're fed is lip service and lies?
I'm not sure SR meant that half the fanbase went to Selhurst Park. Just that they are of an age to have been adolescent or adult fans during the Selhurst era or the years before it (early 1980's). Not defending SR. Just saying I think that's what he meant.
"Very hard to tell at this stage which clubs might go on a run and which will fall away. Let's hope we can win every other game AND do some decent business in the window". Today's offering, how can this even make sense?
