Methven has royally f***** things up again, I do not blame Jones for not playing the Jamaican, I cannot remember his name.

Methven has probably poked his hooter into things and questioned Jones why he is not playing him. I'm with Jones on this if he is being stubborn and not playing him out of principle. Besides, Jones has nothing to lose, he gets the tin tack and trousers a wedge.

The clock is ticking at several levels: points and performances are required in the league; planning for the January window; appraisal of the overall football strategy.

The question is can anybody see anything changing anytime soon. Given that things need to change, who should be in charge of strategy design and execution?

We are 13th in the table, & have only netted 18 times in the league this season.

We haven’t got 5 players worth keeping, let alone 15.

I’m not saying Charles Hawtrey (SR) is low energy, but he struggles to get the cap off the toothpaste in the morning.

If the target is the play-offs, developing younger players, and delivering an increase in chances created, then it's clear to me that we're on track with the back five.

We have one of the best defences in the League, as Jones keeps reminding us. We can always debate next summer whether we need an upgrade on Mannion, but let's watch him and the rest play out the season.

We went to Selhurst 40 years ago - we took a hardcore of 5,000, max.

Like many, I was an ever present 86-90, but the two guys I stood at Selhurst with are now long gone.

I’d be surprised if there are 1,000 left from those who actually got off their arses and went to Selhurst (note that Hawtrey never says that he does….)

I'm not sure SR meant that half the fanbase went to Selhurst Park.
Just that they are of an age to have been adolescent or adult fans during the Selhurst era or the years before it (early 1980's).

Not defending SR. Just saying I think that's what he meant.
