Copied this from the BBC Sport Gossip page, apparently he's been forgotten about already. Aston Villa's Darren Bent, a ã18m January signing from Sunderland, believes that fellow strikers Fernando Torres and Andy Carroll's moves later in the transfer window, for ã50m and ã35m respectively, have taken the pressure off him. "A lot of people seem to have forgotten about my transfer now, so I have just got on with it," he said.
Darren Bent did what was right for him, at Villa he will get more match time. If he had remained at SAFC he would have reverted to being a bench warmer as he was at Spurs. He did a great job for us last season but now we have moved up a level with a better truely international class striker in Gyan. Good luck Mr Bent you may need it in your struggle near the bottom where most of your carear has been spent.
He's not been missed. We've lost 3 in a row, but Bent would have made no difference in any of those games. Now the dusts settled, i wish him all the best at Villa, lets remember he was heroic for us last season. ã24million? That's 2 Gignac's!
If he has "just got on with it" why is he not keeping a low profile? More evidence that he always seks to be the 'main man'
I loved Barren Dent, while the barcodes were giving him **** in Newcarstle, they left the human beings from Sunderland alone.
He'll score wherever he goes. We've got to get over this. Beak's right here - we've lost three in a row, and, no matter how good we're looking at the moment, we DO miss DB.
You've misquoted me their marra, i firmly believe we DON'T miss Bent, i said, he'd have made NO DIFFERENCE to the 3 defeats Gyan has been better without him as well, much more involved and busy imo.
