I was in my local Tesco a week ago and was speaking to a couple of members of staff saying that they must be getting fed up with the Christmas music already. I was in again last night and asked the same question to one of them again, but didn't get much of a response. This is presumably because they have actually gone insane, or in that zone after a prolonged period of psychological torture by white noise. I think that was underlined by when I asked where they moved the small apple pies and the person couldn't understand that I didn't want mince pies given the time of year.

Chelsea's Mikhail Mudryk has failed a drugs test.

He expressed astonishment at the result, saying "I thought only professional footballers are tested".

I know there are pubs which put up signs on the jukebox telling the punters that if anyone puts on that Mariah Carey monstrosity, a member of staff will be along very quickly to skip to the next song

Amazingly my regular doesn't have a sign saying I'm not allowed to use the jukebox without supervision...

I thought I had wandered onto the music thread for a minute :emoticon-0140-rofl:

Christmas music should be played from 23rd to 26th December and that's it. And even then only Sinatra and Chas and Dave

Looks like Rashford’s planning on leaving Utd to seek a “new challenge”.

I think he might be in for a rude awakening as to who he thinks is gonna be interested, he won’t be leaving Utd for a better side. Has a contract until 2028 and is on over £300k a week too.

Wait hang on, painfully average player you’ll be massively overpaying to sign… NO ONE LET LEVY KNOW ABOUT THIS!

Difficult to feel sorry for a guy earning £300kpw, but I kinda do. Massively talented youngster, who has sabotaged his own career by staying at a malfunctioning club in perpetual turmoil for the past few years.

Oh wait, on that basis he could be a perfect fit for us!! <laugh>

I think he's part of the very reasoning why they're malfunctioning to be honest. So many players get ridiculously overhyped at Utd and people fall into that trap they've got some (potential) superstar on their hands when in reality's it's a temporarily polished turd.

Think you might be being a bit hard on him. Can't deny his talent when he broke through, and in all other aspects of his life he appears a pretty grounded lad, but the best thing for him and maybe the club was to have moved on 4-5 years ago.
I have no sympathy for Utd whatsoever, but I just hate seeing talent wasted.

I genuinely don't think I am. I think if he wasn't a Utd product he'd have probably played for about 2-3 different midtable Prem sides by now and have about 30-40 less England caps.

His reputation was massively inflated by being a Utd player along with the amazing stuff he's done for school meals. I think he's a really good fella but he's a painfully average player with a horrible work rate. It's overhyped players like him that are why Utd are no longer the country's dominant club.

I'd genuinely be amazed if he joins a better or equal club to them, unless it's to simply sit on the bench most weeks at a side like Bayern or something.

You could be right, but I do think that there are enough clubs with the money to take the chances with him. I certainly wouldn't disagree that he has seriously failed to perform - and the waste of what talent he had is criminal.

If it wasn’t for the fact of his wages I wouldn't put it past us to show interest. It’s the exact type of overpriced mediocre player we’ve had a penchant for these last few years.
