For me he's just ok at a lot of things, he turns 21 this month and the only senior football he's played is at Tamworth

He doesn't move the ball fast enough for me, as you go up the levels your touch and movement of the ball has to be quicker and he doesn't do that for me (at the minute).

Well he has decent pace, he lacks the explosiveness you normally find in fullbacks higher up the league. Hume lacks that but he makes up for it with his reading of the game and he's very good technically

He just reminds me of a lot of players that I've seen at U21 level that struggle to make it towards the top of the football league

I'm sure he's more of a Lampard type player not from seeing him just from others' opinions

Fair enough, personally I see a young lad with a cracking first touch and awareness that with chances and coaching could achieve more than l1.

I wouldn't say Cirkin has the explosiveness and is also incredibly 1 footed but is a premier league full back in waiting

Cirkin just has the all round game, has good pace but it's how well he is 1vs1 that impresses me

Compton might prove me wrong but I'll be shocked if he plays regularly at Championship level - he will still have a good career. Imo we need better if we want to get to the PL and Compton won't be the type to help us get there

So many players in the past look good at u21 level but just don't have that extra bit of quality to step up to the top 2 divisions

Cirkin is good 1v1 but he is horribly 1 footed, the body shape he makes to tackle with his left foot is awful to watch. That mw being ultra ultra picky as he is a class full back.

If he can't learn to tackle with his wrong foot then it will stop him going as high as he could.

The joys of football though, you see one thing, I see another

Totally mate, be boring with we all agree on everything

Some people see different things in players that we really like or that we really dislike

I do want Cirkin to improve on his right foot and I think he can improve his final ball, does both of those things and I honestly could see him play for England one day

Just a query Scout...not relevant to the window, but any player out there you've seen and totally dismissed, and been proven totally wrong about??

Cirkin has the athlete in him to play PL football. It's half the battle these days. Touch is good. Passing is very good and his direct. His 1 v 1 is as good as many and is brave and good in the air.

There will be many clubs on the sniff now. Lbs are very hard to come by

His impact yesterday was unbelievable. Carries the ball like a winger.

Agree with everything else but his passing isn't great, accuracy % wise it's pretty much the worst of the squad. Definitely room for improvement there, he has a tendency to switch off and play lazy passes.

I agree he does tend to play some lazy passes at time. Full backs do tend to try and play progressive passes, get the ball forward in general and play long balls when they get pinned in, plus the crosses etc whereas the likes of the CB’s, Neil, Bellingham etc play little 5 yard sideways passes along the deck all game which is why theirs is so high. Good example is Trent, passing accuracy this season is only 73% but we all know good of a passer of the ball he is.

I hope we can get closer to an agreement on his contract. Guessing we’ll have/want to sell this summer if he won’t sign.

    Same goes for DN.

True enough but even compared to Hume he's a couple of notches lower and I wouldn't say Hume's passing accuracy was anything to write home about.

I'm not saying Cirkin is a bad passer, he's ok, but it's not a praiseworthy part of his game it's one that needs working on. There's not much else, cracking player.

Think so. Dan is an interesting one. Seems they have been miles apart for a while.

I like how he tries to play it forward more than others. He whips it quickly instead of farting about. Or I maybe bias as I love the man ha.

I wouldn't say I dismissed him as such but Garnacho never stood out to me in Man Utds u21s - obviously he's now a PL regularly and I just didn't see it at the time tbh

I do think he's still a bit overrated but he's def far exceeded what I thought he would do

Is it money they are miles apart on? Hopefully they get it sorted but wasn't it said it was one of the reasons he got captaincy? To make him feel more important and want to commit?

I would usually be inclined to agree but I don't feel like that's the type of striker our system suits. We like to have a mobile forward, who can hold it up and also be constantly making runs and movements, being able to press etc (it's a lot to ask for).

I think Isidor is exactly the type that suits us to a T, Tall, quick, presses, good movement, good finishing (bar stoke) and even when he isn't scoring his runs and movement stretch the defence to create gaps for us to exploit. He does a lot off the ball that goes unnoticed.

I'd personally like us to find a similar type to Isidor so we can have a like-for-like rotation up top as Connolly and Mayenda are very different.

Agreed. Isidor is exactly the profile that suits us. He just had a bad game on Saturday.
