John Winston Lennon 8th December 1980
Cruelly taken from us
RIP

Kinnel. Seems like yesterday.

Was in The Railway in Cott a couple of days later and Starting Over came on the jukebox. Even though we was all daft as a brush 17 year olds who didn't give a **** about anything, I remember we all went silent.

And a few tears were shed.

RIP.

Set the standards to which others must aspire.

Very likely I was in the same pub that night. Same age as you to Ernie.

Comedian Duncan Norvelle died at the age of 66 on Thursday after battling a chest infection and sepsis - 12 years after suffering a stroke which left half his body paralysed.

Duncan was a familiar face on British TV in the 1980s and was known for his catchphrase 'chase me!' and camp humour.

He leaves behind his girlfriend Linda Trevallion who cared for him after his stroke. He had three children: Jack, Sophie and Yasmin.
