Does that just leave you and the Mrs?It's the month of Christmas time to get in with it.
I've got 12 days off as well, plenty of pub and restaurants planned.
Oldest off to Thailand over Christmas and my daughter has pretty much moved out so going to be very different.
Just one left a moody 17 year old lad but he'll sleep through most of it. Looking forward to the time off and just being with Mrs luv and friends and family. Outlaws not with us until 29th.Does that just leave you and the Mrs?
I imagine the quiet will take you a year or two to get used too. I’ve never bothered with Christmas since 2015. I see my girls on boxing day and just slam a pizza in the oven for my dinner on Xmas day and keep my blinds and curtains closed. Doesn’t appeal to me one bit.
Going to Thailand for Christmas sounds fantastic, tbf. Hope your son has an amazing time out there. It’ll be a great experience for him.
You’ll still have plenty of company then. Nice one.Just one left a moody 17 year old lad but he'll sleep through most of it. Looking forward to the time off and just being with Mrs luv and friends and family. Outlaws not with us until 29th.
How come you don't bother with it?
Family is difficult, I don't really get on with my brother just don't have anything in common. My parents can be difficult and Mrs luvs parents have become difficult. We just put up with them all and make sure we have a good time. You’ll still have plenty of company then. Nice one.
I’m a loner, mate. Christmas is for family and I kind of don’t have any haha. I’ve my little brother but he’s married, 3 kids. I won’t get in the way of that. He’s invited me over a few times but it doesn’t feel right to go.
Good on you for making the effort. I suppose I could do more and this has become a choice now, rightly or wrongly.Family is difficult, I don't really get on with my brother just don't have anything in common. You should do something, make a change even if it's just for you, something you like that you don't get chance to do often and then make it a yearly tradition.
I think everyone has to make it their own other than conforming to the expectations. Mrs luv is a Christian so I tag along to a service with her and it's nice enough (I like old buildings) other than that I cook some meals drink some good wine and go to the pub. Bit of Christmas TV now and then.Good on you for making the effort. I suppose I could do more and this has become a choice now, rightly or wrongly.
I love animals and I live in the countryside. I suppose I could cook **** loads of meat and veg, then scatter it around the countryside so they all get fed on Christmas. That would make me feel good, I guess.

Nice, Mrs won’t let us have a real tree, so as a compromise I’m allowed one decoration.
