id take selles its a risk ofcourse but id prefer we took that then get someone like hughton in but i dont think acun will get anyone who is currently employed
I think acun has been guilty of not taking the championship seriously enough. I hope that he will now find a coach young enough to have fresh ideas, but experienced enough to know what it takes to succeed in the championship. Selles was Mark Robins right hand man I believe and they have had a few good seasons at Coventry. The downside is getting him from reading
I dont think a manager needs to have experience of the Championship They need to know how to organise a team
They also need to be flexible enough to change tactics to get the best out of the available players and where the opposition or other circumstances dictate, in order to achieve the best outcome.
I remember a time when it was exciting to read down the list of betting odds for the next manager. Looking at Oddschecker prices it seems more like the credits at the end of a horror movie. It really is a depressing turn off. Robins for me, forget the rest, or just draw lots to pick the team a day before a match.
Sometimes I think people don't actually know much about the managers they seemingly like or don't like. Like whoever it was that didn't want a dour manager but was happy if we got Cooper.
Robins is the best choice, unless by some miracle Jokanovic could get Mitrovic to come to us. Cloud cuckoo land of course.
Can someone please make Chris Hughton make sense. The more I think about it the more it doesn’t fit. He’s quite a dour person who’s football style can put you to sleep. He was at Forest 4 years ago and just managed 1.16 points per game. The fans were delighted when he left and hoped to move on from his dull, turgid football. It’s left me hitting refresh over and over on the betting odds - hoping he just drifts off into the sunset. A nice guy though.
I'd admit it. Now that the years are rolling by I get a few. On the City job...Chris Hughton would be a serious error, but Acca seems to make quite a few so I wouldn't be surprised if he rocked up, one little bit. You saw the different at Forest, going nowhere with Hughton, but to L1, he goes and they get promoted with Cooper, six months later.
