Because we've had loads of injuries, every team goas through a dip but the fact we are having a dip and still picking up points with a massively patched up team gives me plenty of confidence.

I think our injuries are inline with other teams. Sheffield have some massive players out and are still blasting out wins. Leeds the same.

Unless you feel the squad isn't up to promotion scratch. I really am not trying to be negative btw. Just some objectivity, as I feel that's essential to have an authentic reflection of our situation.

Burnley have Beyer, Tresor, Foster, Ekdal, Ramsay and Worrall out amongst others lol. The only starters we had missing were Mundle and Cirkin. It’s the squad that’s the issue not enough depth when we’ve already got so many u21s in and amongst the squad. I’ll give the club the credit they deserve for the signings like Bellingham, Hume, Cirkin, Clarke etc.. but i’ve also always said we’ve also signed our fair share of what have to be labelled as duds at the minute. If you have no intentions of giving these lads game time then we aren’t in a position to sign them. We’re a championship club not Chelsea, every squad player counts.

Samed is a shame like because he’s a good player.

Yeah agree. Last night was pretty much full strength. We played ok but was a draw all over it IMO. We need to turn it around and quick as the momentum has been lost and we look a bit flat.

They've both recently been in the Premier league you'd expect them to cope with injuries better.

We are having a great season and I expect us to be right up there, we've played a few teams that have parked the bus and scraped a point not all teams will play anti football Friday should be a good indication of how far we are away imo.

Browne, huggins, Seelt, samed you'd assume will be a starter when fit. So we weren't 2 players from full strength like.

Genuinely thought Rigg was the best of our midfielders tonight. Late on in the game a ball came into him and after a little scan his first touch was special, just took the closest WBA player completely out of the game

It’s all about opinions though and I certainly respect yours mate.
Was better late on.

I think Samed is a better player than Neil, but I’m not sure anyone gets into the team over him. The other 3 don’t start they’re just bench, so it is only the two players on Mundle and Cirks missing from our Xl. I think, not that I agree, that Rigg is going to be the 8 all season. That midfield 3 won’t change now

Yeah I agree. I think that's a fair assessment.

Mundle and Cirkin are big players for us and we missed them.

All teams miss a couple of players here and there. It's the depth and ability to use who is on the bench that makes the difference. Either RLB hates subs or he thinks the bench is **** and the squad is poor.

Huggins is one of the best players at the club when fit mate. Seelt also played well and looked good before getting injured. I think we can and will be promoted this season personally so I'm not worried at all, we are having a sticky patch but it's more due to injuries and the opposition just being negative and us having zero luck imo.

back to where we were in May rubbish football and league one standard at corners pathetic, 36,000 tonight says something and i will watch the Stoke game on the telly now they are pissing another season away lazy gets. Dodds must be back

Roberts had his usual game, busy but nothing to show for it. Needs taking off all set piece duties unless he hits a run of form.

Definitely an area we should be looking to improve on in January.

I’d like us to start on improving it now. We need more mobility from our players in the box for players to cross to, as much as improving on our crossing which was woeful again. Roberts was gash.

Tommy was naive, when he kept trying to shoot with blockers in front of him. That is to be expected, and he was much better when he tried to cut to the byline.

I thought Mayenda looked a bit lost on the left, esp. compared to his stint on the right at Millwall

We have to learn to mix it up better. Hopefully we take the chances we get on Friday, and can exploit space. Admittedly that was very tight last night, but we could have done better.

Regis Le Bris on Sunderland form and Championship promotion race

FIVE successive draws has led to some frustration in the Sunderland dressing room but Regis Le Bris is pressing the need for perspective and stressing to his players just how far they have come in a short space of time.…

Le Bris shares the frustration of his players after recent dropped points, with Sunderland being pegged back by both Coventry and Millwall and failing to make their dominance count against West Brom.

But he's determined to point to the positives.

"We have many different scenarios," said the head coach, reflecting on the recent run.

"At Millwall it was different, at Preston we didn't deserve to win, at Millwall maybe, today [West Brom] we deserved to win.

"At least it shows we are becoming consistent and we can face different styles of play and scenarios and we are difficult to beat.

"With injuries and suspensions, it shows as well the depth of the squad is better. At the end of the game, emotionally we have to be stable. It's not easy but as a coach it's my job.

"I want to remain positive. I repeat West Brom are a strong team in the top six and we dominated the game from beginning to the end so it's a good sign."

Asked whether he has stressed that point to his frustrated players, he said: "I tried but they didn't understand."

Despite the recent winless run, Le Bris is thrilled his side are so hard to beat and with how the Championship table looks.

He said: "It's a tight league and long so this is part of the experience. We started this season with expectations in the dressing room but the reality is the team were 16th last year and now we are in the top of the table and 10 games unbeaten.

"It's a long league and resilience is very important. The difference between a win and a loss is very subtle but 10 games means we are consistent which is a good sign for the future."

we’ve had injuries yes and they have had an impact but those injuries don’t cover the collapse at 2-0 the other week and the mill wall result.

The millwall result, had Aleksic but his chance in the stand we’d have had a 1-0 win and it would have been a great dig in and win away performance after an impressive first half and an unfortunate extended stoppage. When they broke away after he missed there was an element of naivety and a compounding of mistakes, someone should have just wiped him out.

then last night for me another two points dropped, can argue they played anti football and didn’t want to play but I’d argue the other way to give ourselves some credit as we pressed and we’re organised and prevented them getting out their third for the most part.

their possession based coach whose highly rated wasn’t able to do anything that had them move the balls through the lines.

we had chances to win last night even tho most were half chances. A number of good performances from individuals but a few concerns also.

all in all I feel like we’ve dropped 6 points the last 3 games and considering two have been in the fashion they have it’s not a great look and not what you need in this league.

Additionally we’re crying out for action in Jan, particularly out wide and as ever DM. It has to happen otherwise we’ll find ourselves stretched like this come march time.

Browne, huggins, Seelt, samed you'd assume will be a starter when fit. So we weren't 2 players from full strength like.

what would indicate that? Brownes found himself deputy to rigg for the most part, shamed would have to replace Neil and he hasn’t budged from the DM role even through a patch of bad form.

Huggins wouldn’t oust cirkin or Hume despite rating him and seelt above Mepham, Ballard, onien? What suggests that
