Transfer Rumours Let's ignore the big ****ing elephant and blame the latest manager, again. Are we nearly there yet?

Did anyone notice the title for Amorim is “head coach” and not manager? It’s a clear shift from the old. There are also clear indications the primary requirement is for Amorim to be more resourceful in light of the millions we have wasted in the last few years. The club has had five consecutive years of negative cash flow with fk all to show for it. I believe we will start to see more emphasis on youth integration, free transfers, etc.

I am a Norwich supporter who now lives permanently in Nice - guess who owns our local Club!! It is run like a circus. I do not take any pleasure in what he is doing to your Club but I have to say that only rich idiots like the Glaziers would allow Ratcliffe anywhere near their investment.

We spent the last two decades btchin about Glazers in a very non productive fashion. Now we are here!

Ashworth is the bloke who signed Zirkzee and wanted Southgate as manager.

Good ****ing riddance.

Hopefully we got rid in time.

The folks running the club seem inept at creating a winning strategy. If Ashworth will be let go because of five months of unsatisfactory performance, why did they spend so much time chasing him?

It’s ridiculous!

Same way they decided to hold on to ETH when it was clear the man had reached his top. That decision completely undermined a season before it even started. It’s going to take Amorim no less than ten games to get anything going.

BTW, watching Sancho again today. There simply isn’t anyone at the club that is able to play make from the wings the way he does. Yet he’s our player playing and doing the business for another club because we simply can’t make anything work.

Let's stop ****ing around - Rashford, Antony and Zirkzee out in January, that releases funds to step straight in and get Gyökeres from Sporting. That might just salvage something from this season. Once the summer window opens we can get a suitable replacement for Shaw and Onana

The crushing silence on Rashford speaks volumes about what a good number of us on here think. Well rid, thanks for the good times and all that, send us a postcard from the sporting deserts.

It's sad really.

I can tell you where I was when I saw his debut (v Mijtiland in the Euopa league under LVG) and was almost tearful at this young local lad coming on and scoring and looking so ****ing promising.

He's had some up seasons, but too many down ones.

Wish him well but he needs to leave. I doubt we'll miss him.

Start with your defence. It’s ok getting Gyokeres but you’re too easy to score against as shown tonight against Spurs. Letting Rashford , Zirkzee and Anthony will certainly raise money but who replaces Hojland if he gets injured?

Klopp with his heavy metal football was great with his team going forward and scoring goals but conceded far too many. He bought Alisson and Van dijk and then became champions .

The defence will be fine, Amorim is assessing everyone game after game.

Of tonight's starting defence, could well be only Yoro is in that back three.

Martinez was really poor, but the neither Maguire or de Ligt were in the team.

I'd have both of those in a back three, Martinez (on current form) wouldn't be.

Lindelof definitely wouldn't be.

Zirkzee and Antony won't be leaving this coming window.
We don't need a replacement for Hojlund, we need an alternative.

I've got genuinely **** all idea (or interest) whatsoever what's going on in Arabia, but Toney should still be an option.

Bingo! There’s clearly a lot of structural work needed to get this team in shape. For me, Rashford is the absolute least of what we should be overly debating. As you alluded, that defensive unit in the 3-5-2 system is still very suspicious right now with the set of players at disposal. Dalot is just useless on the left side. And Mazraoui is not necessary a forward pounding wingback himself. So the system right now is a make shift on trial and error. Way too many ball watching defenders as well.

As for the forward players, Bruno is highly wasteful the way he plays. So many poor decisions which leaves a striker isolated. He will be replaced at some point.

I also don’t think buying a striker should be priority. And certainly not Toney at this point. Two years ago, yes! But not with the baggage he comes with now and age. We should focus on rebuilding with younger players.

Yeah, but we've got the young players. We need some experience to help them out.

Toney was off the top of my head last night. He'd still fit the bill, definitely.

Agree on Mazaroui by the way, I'd see him as more a traditional right back.

He's a million% (sorry!) a better option than Dalot in any position though.

I wonder how Alvaro Fernandez would perform in this system. He had the right energy in all the preseason games he played before leaving. I was terribly disappointed ETH let him go.
