What I heard in the commentary was that there's only 15 WW2 veterans left and six were on duty at the parade, the youngest 94 and oldest 103, God Bless 'em.

I had to Google that as I thought you'd lost your marbles That's a truly staggering figure given the age they'd need to be and leaves no doubt that people are living much longer nowadays.
A significant percentage of WW1 vets didn't commemorate remembrance day, but most ww2 vets do. 8 May is the commemoration day here, as when Germany capitulated. Ppl hang flags outside their houses/off balconies, the king gives a speech and Norwegians mutter about the Swedes being cowards.
