We're 9 points clear of 2nd place at the end of january. 10 off 3rd place. But you are offered the chance to finish 2nd then and there. Do you take it?!

This pole, sort of shows your character. Those that want to be the best will select the second option, never settle for second best.

 

It's being pragmatic. If Saints manage to get to the Premier League for next season, and then estbalish themselves, ask the very same question. I'd go for the Yes option every time, in that case. And after all, you can't do well in the Premier League if you're stuck in the Championship.

The implication of the 2nd choice was that you could fail...let's just get to the PL. Apart from a pot what difference does it make if you are first or second. A few years down the line it won't matter how we got there. Fortunately, this isn't a real situation or I would have to come and slap a few of you

 

So I take it that ALL of those people who've voted for the, No push on for the glory of first place! option have never succumbed to the often uttered phrase at the beginning of a season... if you offered me a guaranteed play-off position I'd bite your arm off..?

And yet that option leaves you with a gamble. The Yes option, up top, leaves with a guarantee of achieving your goal. Are you 9 [and no doubt climbing] really that foolish..?

I was assuming that to take 2nd place meant you were guaranteed not to get 1st place. I definitely think we should get 1st place. I'm with Joey B on this. Nothing ventured, nothing gained ,
