The most graceful, skillful player I have ever seen live barr Messie. Made football so entertaining...yet stick a mic in front of him and he becomes the Middlesbrough of commentary
So anything exciting happen in tonight's European B league? I don't watch lower league football you see
@Gessa guessing you've been to Molyneux a few times. Any recommendations on free parking? Don't mind a 20-30 minute walk to ground.
Because of where it's situated parking is not great, and whats there you have to pay for,the best places I can think of thats free are Park Rd, West Park, about a 20 minute walk but you'd need to be there pretty early as it fills up quickly. There's a Desi pub(same company that own The Vine, West Brom) it's called The Desi Yew Tree on Pool Street, about 20/25 minute walk, there is some street parking there, but again think you'd need to be early as it yellow lines down one side. I'd stay out the town centre as there's some real dicks around, especially Weatherspoons, Moon Under The Water. The Royal Oak in Chapel Ash is a good pub if you Park at West Park but no idea what its like match days. The Great Western on Sun Street is a great boozer too, exceptional ales but very limited street parking
Nice one mate. I did look at west park but the wrong side of the city for me really and will add loads of time getting away. That Desi Yew Tree looks a good shout though. Very tempted by that! And yeah I've read there's **** all in the city centre for away fans pub wise cos the locals are ****s. I'm not drinking at the minute though anyway so only after a bit of a grub really. Was looking at the residential area east of the station but seems there's **** all really between there and the ground. Depends how I'm doing for time I guess.
Me too, maybe worth calling them as they may open match days. https://desiyewtree.com/ It's a pity because the food is excellent, we go in there if we go to kk steelmill for gigs
With the east side of town you've got 2 areas, Heath Town, even locals don't go there, real dump. Then you have Fallings park and Park Village streets of terraced housing so no parking and not much better than Heath Town.
I don't remember the name of the pub when I went to Wolves, I do remember going up a few steps between some big white columns outside, think it was a big pub. Had no grief in there, but I was in a biggish group at the time with some Northerners.
Yeah where I was looking - Burton/Springfield road area - is in the direction of Heath Town but not quite in it. Could tell from street view it gets rougher and rougher the further East you go though
Wolves - just remember having to walk through an underpass as you approached the ground with a fair few neanderthals on top of it
I don't remember any under pass, but I remember getting lost trying to find the pub we were all meeting at, Whatever road it was on, we went the wrong side of it, the road seemed to loop round like a horseshoe....there were coppers as we got closer to the ground and I felt a bit safer then, but when we were lost, it was like don't look lost and just keep going, well fooking dodgy areas.
