He fell out with the owner at Napoli and got frozen out when they bought Lukaku. I thought we might go in for him, but the window was closed, apart from in Turkey. So I think he's on loan there atm

Not my words, words of the media. Either way the cost is somewhere around £6M for the year, for a bench warmer who Arteta at the moment seems to have no intention of playing.
£6m is a fairly cheap loan deal, and Chelsea are still paying the majority of his wages. True that he isn't pulling up trees atm, although he's scored in the league cup. But he gives us another option when needed.
We really need to prioritise a proper striker in the summer though. Will be interesting to see what happens with Osimhen. I'm not sure if Galatasaray have an option to buy ?
The old group stage format was pretty dull for the first 2-3 games too. This just spreads that dullness to 5-6 games out of eight. And if you’re a big side that ****s up we’ll give you a second chance in a knockout.
They should go back to the group format and make the players tie their legs together like in a three legged race for those first 2-3 games
