What is Robins' known ceiling in this division? And what is Walter's known ceiling?

People keep saying Walter has been a failure his entire career as a manager because he failed to get Hamburg promoted in two seasons. Robins has failed to get Coventry promoted to the Prem in four seasons.
The truth is that both are decent coaches, rather than failures. Rosenior isn’t a failure because he didn’t get us promoted either. He probably should’ve got us into the top 6 but finishing 7th didn’t make him a failure. It’s incredibly hard to get into the Premier League and Bundesliga and even harder to stay there these days for newly-promoted teams.
There's a German manager called Tam Wilther, managing in their fourth division, who has managed to get the team to third place, playing with a fly keeper and 10 centre forwards. Apparently doesn't even talk to the players, his technique involves pointing and making bird flapping gestures on the touchline. Acun already put a bid in
And Walter has been doing a fantastic job in his previous seasons he’s just having a wobble this season under difficult circumstances.

This is his first season in English football and it's going really badly, if you can't tell the difference between him and Robins, I'm afraid I can't help you.
Firstly, did I dream it or was Robins briefly linked with us in the summer?
Acun has had 4 different managers, all with little or no experience of championship football. Infact we haven't had an experienced manager at this level since Bruce left in 2016. I'm in the minority probably as I think Walter needs to be given more time, however, if Acun wants to provide some reliable stability, and the chance to quickly get the players and fans all back with some positive energy and direction then I have to say it's very rare you get the opportunity to take a very good and experienced manager at this level without having to pay compo to another club. So I can definitely see a golden opportunity presenting itself here - that's presuming Robins would want the job of course!

Exactly, his first season in English football, with a brand new team performing just the same as Mark Robbin’s team.
They’re already after Wycombe’s manager. Suspect him and the Aberdeen boss will be attracting a lot of interest
This is true and I can understand the appeal of Robins in the short term, as he knows the league and has had a half decent run at Coventry. But I think people are getting rather more excited at the prospect than is warranted, he got them to the play-offs, but they had Gyökeres scoring 21 in 46 that season.
I do suspect that part of the decision making for Cov is that they’ve maybe seen us, Luton and Boro thinking about replacing their managers and want to get their preferred guy in.
Wycombe’s manager is obviously a hot ticket right now so it’s not surprise they’ve apparently already approached him
