It’s possibly so broad due to the fact they don’t want to influence a current invesitgstion, however, they must be seen to be acting on it. I haven’t read all pages yet btw so not sure if other info further ahead.
The original post I was responding to said Rosenior had been racially abused online. I asked of proof of it happening at City. Anyone should have realised I was referring to abuse of Rosenior. Hope that clears it up but doubt if it will for your fan club giving you likes.
Forgot I had been in conversation with brady. I try and erase those things. So, what are the awful events the club are referring to? Are we worse than Leeds, Millwall etc? Will fans be afraid to come to the MKM?
Genuinely what is the need to know specific incidents. At a glance I took the original club statement that there’s been a few reported incidents that they felt was worth addressing. Yes, it’s a case of chastising the majority on behalf of a minority but they clearly want to just knock it on the head.
Some days I swear "Cityzen" is a deep, deep, deep lying parody account. It's too halfwitted to be true, surely.
They haven’t actually said incidents of what, have they? We always seem to make more of things and give the impression things are worse than they are, especially compared to other clubs. That has been going on for 50 years.
The statement explicitly says: “Discrimination, of any sort, is not acceptable and has no place in football or society.” It then later states: “If any Hull City supporter is seen to engage in discriminatory chants or discriminatory social media activity, the club will collaborate with the police and football authorities to identify those involved.” It’s clearly racist chants and social media posts. Statements don’t include specific details because doing so compromises investigations.
So it could have been misogynistic, homophobic, transgenderphobic? I would have thought the City sites and forums would have been awash with people saying they had heard things considering the meltdown they had because fans booed one of our players.
I could be wrong but it strikes me as something that they’ve been told to post. There was a reported incident of a makeshift knife but I don’t think that falls into this
Don't we all discriminate against opposition fans to some degree or other? I mean, they're even segregated.
