Leeds are third with 19 points and beat fourth-placed Sheffield United 2-0 last time out on Friday in the Championship, while the Hornets are eighth with 16 points from 10 matches and lost 3-0 against Luton Town on Saturday.
The Leeds boss was very pleased with the way his team performed against the Blades, and rightly so, while a lot of wondering has been going on in the Watford camp over their miserable showing in the local derby up the M1.

Leeds are in excellent form, having won five of their last eight games in the second tier, with their solitary loss this league season coming in a 1-0 defeat against second-placed Burnley on September 14th.

Watford have lost their last four away games in the Championship, conceding 11 times and scoring just once in that period. The dismal display Saturday showed why the away record is so bad. Tom Cleverley is looking for a reaction to Saturday, and says there will be consequences. Quite what changes he has in mind with the players available, remains to be seen.

Team News

None as yet, but with Bachmann needing a scan on an injury he picked up Saturday, he has to be a doubt.

Team News Update; Angelo Ogbonna has suffered a “significant hamstring problem” according to comments made by Tom Cleverley.

Team news: Bachmann has passed fitness test this morning. Ogbonna hamstring means weeks out rather than months. Sierralta fully fit. Ngakia and Keben should be in contention for Saturday.

Is Bachmann going to actually be fit then rather than half fit and unable to take kicks etc?

Anyway not expecting much but obviously everyone will be looking for a much improved performance,

On paper, this is an easy one to predict.

But look on the bright side, I’m sure we’ll do everything we can to f*** it up.

I could imagine a breakaway goal for you, then a battering that at best gives us an equaliser.

if we win this we’ll go top for 24 hours, I’ve every confidence the lads will find a way to avoid that. We dont want to hit the front too soon.

At least I will not have my d-i-l getting overexcited sat next to me. It was quite a moment when the Leeds keeper had one of those moments, and gifted Sunderland a draw.

Even he doesn’t do that every game. You’ll have to fluke a winner some other way. I recommend doing it in Fergie time, we lose a lot of late goals.

One of my in laws is a Watford fan. He’s a nice chap so don’t know what he’s done to deserve that. It’s unworthy of me but I would quite like a 6-0 home win, to set up the conversation for when we next meet. Not holding my breath though.

Dare I say it but we'll only get that with a change of starting team, tactics and formation.
But, to be honest, I can't see any of those happening.
Well we lost the previous 2 away games badly with different players in the team so not sure what the answer is.

Feel a bit for Bachmann by the way - sure should have not played if unfit but no doubt had he pulled out people would have said he bottled playing as some seem to hate him that much.

Bond did do well in Dan's place but before the injury don't remember anyone saying he has to be playing.

Same with Rajovic - all being said in hindsight.

Hope the fans saying he would have been much better aren't the same as those criticising him last season for just being good at one thing.

Clutching at straws BUT

We beat Millwall when they were above us in the table (alphabetically), all the teams that have beaten us away from home were below us in the table when we played them

When Farke was in charge of Norwich we did the double over them 2 or 3 seasons on the trot

Apart from that we have to hope we get a bit of luck tonight, We have not had too much away from home so far

We’ll probably lose and Bachmann gets blamed .

Poor guy - not his fault he gets picked .

Suddenly Sissoko seems to be the boo boy too .

Presume Jebbison and TDB are injured.
