If Trent's gone then he's believed too much of the hype about him another Courtinho in the making..... oblivion.
He will be And then everyone will start praising him from other clubs in this country too and making fun of us that he left us 100% guaranteed
Not a chance. Their fans and media will savage him.for the things he gets away with here. They would expect a right back to be one. To actually defend and he'd not get near a free kick etc.
Won’t need to at Madrid So I think that you are wrong lmao May take a hit in the big games but nah He can did that and He isn’t that bad in defence We shall see
Have you watched real playing man city in the ucl and parking the bus? This is the same joker who has done nothing but say trent couldn't defend for years lols.
Who Me ? I have never said Trent can’t defend I have rarely (if ever in fact) complain about a players ability Chiefly as they are all way better than myself (I also said may take a hit in a big game ) but la Liga is not massively open Most games he will coast through imho
I got the feeling he was talking about someone at Madrid. When it comes to Arnold i wouldn't say he can't defend, more won't defend.
See your point on that but my take on it is he must be being coached to play that way Any manager who has a player who would theoretically be disregarding his duties like Trent would be, if it was won’t - would be removing said player from the pitch/matchday squad Has to be under instruction Whether the coaches/managers have bought into the hype is a different matter imho But do not see how it’s won’t Don’t get me wrong - I am not saying this is impossible - but you can usually tell which clubs are cow towing (?) to player power - and they usually have a high high turnover of managers if it is and he is a trouble maker (which I don’t believe) is that the reason for allowing him to run down their contract?
Can't know for sure, of course - but I suspect Trent has made up his mind to leave, and the club knows this. They're probably trying to dissuade him, but imo it's why no agreement has been reached. It's different to the situation with Virgil and Mo - their agents are probably just haggling over length of contract given their age. Again, I could be wrong and doing Trent a disservice, but I've long had the impression that early fame went to his head a bit, and his ego has gotten the better of his team spirit. I remember years ago an interview headline saying something like "Trent on being a Liverpool legend and superstar at 20" I think it can be very difficult for young men to keep their feet on the ground with such adulation. In the end - as with any other player - I say that if he doesn't want to be here, I don't want him to be persuaded against his will. Good players come and go - it's not a disaster.
For everything good I can say about Trent on the ball (and there’s a lot) I can say something equally negative about him off the ball. He’s not versatile imo. He’s an attacking right back. He can only really play in one position - he is definitely not a midfielder at that level. He needs to work in a system that accommodates his weaknesses. I doubt that Madrid will suffer that. If he goes there, my money is that he’ll be benched relatively quickly.
All the talk (which I have not seen direct quotes) about trophies and such looks to me like his head isn't where it should be. He is neither just another mercenary chasing silver the easiest route possible or he is a local at his boyhood club where he is worshipped. I'm willing to bet the first thing that happens is that mural of his is painted over quick smart and he's just another player now. The club might as per be nice to an ex player but if he wants to be the next Michael Owen then fire ahead. Imo he hasn't a clue what is going to happen long term when he takes his easy medals
Vvd says contract talks have been started. great news, out of the 3 I think he’s most likely to sign and stay. Still plenty left in him to see out another 2/3 years easily. I expect Salah wants to stay. I just think he has his eyes on records at lfc and the prem and as long as we’re competing then why the need to move - unless terms can’t be agreed. I do wonder about TAA. I think ironically he’s the least likely to sign. I think the noise about him defensively maybe grates on him, he’s at an age where he’s entering his prime so will command biggest wage he’s likely to get and maybe thinks over in madrid he’ll get more freedom and get away from that noise.
if he thinks that he’ll get away from any ‘noise’ in Madrid, he’d be deluded if anything, at Liverpool, he is shielded in comparison to the magnifying glass attention that he’d receive in Madrid.
I would have thought that Trent would want to captain the club. He only has to wait a few years. His brother is his agent. I hope he's also talking to people outside of the family for a bit of perspective.
