Did you not see what SpaceX achieved last week? I love him because he shines a light on everything that’s wrong in the west. NASA were recently quoted 2.7billion to build a launch pad. This launch pad wouldn’t be ready until 2029. SpaceX, under Musk’s incredible leadership, have built a launch platform that can also catch rockets (staggering feat of engineering) in a fraction of the time, for a fraction of the cost. Soy boys like you can whine all you like, but you can’t ignore the reality that he is showing incredible leadership which is embarrassing the leaders of most countries/companies/organisations
I don't like the bloke, but I don't think anyone would disagree that the achievements from Space X this week have been incredible. These two things can exist in the same space. Why do you feel the need to write silly things like "soy boys"? Particularly when you complained not a week ago about people resorting to insults?
Add "Low-IQ, dumb and weirdos in the last few days. The alledged insults from the lefties got Billy's goat a while back.
I love the cut & thrust of (some) the discussions on here. The differing views & supporting arguments make good reading. It’s a shame it occasionally degenerates to schoolboy mud slinging (not aimed at anyone in particular). I worked at SpaceX earlier in the year installing equipment & chemicals. Phenomenal investments & drive to achieve really challenging goals. Musk is definitely a strange one but without, they wouldn’t be pushing these boundaries.
He has felt the need to insult me and call me mental etc many times on here, so just returning the favour. I also do genuinely think the left are weak people in general with a poor mindset
It makes me laugh. A lot of the liberal left say “he’s never achieved anything” or “all he does is manage people, he isn’t a genius”. Blah blah These talking points are extremely low IQ. How many other billionaires have achieved even 1/10th of what he has? How many have gambled everything, gone all in and taken calculated risks in the same way? He is a visionary, exceptional leader and one of the most amazing people alive today. History will look back extremely kindly on all he has achieved. This is what I meant in a previous post. I honestly think the left hate him because he is living proof that one man can change the world. The left feel threatened by this concept. How dare anyone stand out?
Then you don’t have any place calling people hypocritical. Do you see that? That’s why people believe you have no self awareness.
There was a discussion here not long ago about where Labour had broken manifesto promises. To be fair to Starmer, he made it perfectly clear he would not be raising Tax, NI, or VAT. Only, the last part, VAT, is a lie - this is a broken promise, as he did raise VAT for children's education. This is a direct broken manifesto promise. In the manifesto, he did not single out that a certain group didn't count, he made it clear. In fact, he told everyone that he was making it clear. No raising of Tax, NI, or VAT. Whether you disagree in education being taxed/private schools etc, the debate was around if any manifesto promises were broken, which clearly they were.
Billy I hope you don't mind me pointing out the following from https://www.alvarezandmarsal.com/in...emption-private-schools-and-address-loophole# “Change begins now” says Keir Starmer, following Labour's landslide win. The Labour Party manifesto pledged to end the VAT exemption afforded to private schools.
One of the labour promises was not raising VAT. Is adding VAT to certain working people raising VAT or not? If something didn't have VAT on it, then it is changed by the Labour party to have VAT on it, is this raising VAT to working people (albeit not all)? This is a resounding yes. So, the Labour Party confused themselves with their manifesto messages, by giving directly conflicting messages about the same subject. Thanks for clearing that up.
You're confused Billy as is the above post. Labour have done exactly as their manifesto promised, It was widely written about before and after the election as I expect you know. There's also this from the same linked article "More recently Labour have also announced plans to close in on a so-called ‘loophole’ of pre-paying private school fees, prior to these changes taking place, shutting down a ‘pay now and save later’ solution."
VAT has been imposed to certain people in the UK, that were not there before - this is therefore raising VAT - fact Labour said 2 conflicting statements in their manifesto - fact If people can't grasp this, then their political stance and/or views on the subject are clouding their judgement.
It's you that's unable or unwilling to understand the specific application of VAT as promised in the manifesto and their pledge not to raise VAT in general is not conflicting. It's your judgement that's clouded by your opposition to a manifesto promise that wasn't at all ambiguous and has been kept.
Labour did not state they were not raising VAT "in general". They stated "we will not raise VAT". That is all I will say on the matter.
Good point, unlikely to be accepted. People who post blatantly untrue statements can and will have them challenged.
