I have a really good idea who you are replying to as I have taken the same action as your final word about 2 months ago. Makes this thread a bit disjointed, but myself a lot more balanced.

First, that isn’t what the article is saying, as always you have distorted an ambiguous headline to suit your Putin/Trump/Farage/Tate adulation.

Secondly, grow the **** up for crying out loud.

Climate crisis deniers are doing us all a favour. It is the modern equivalent of walking around with a bell shouting the end is nigh! We can see you, nutter!

Climate crisis deniers, more often than not, are also anti vax crackpot conspiraloons, deep stators looking out for the lizard people.

And they don't read good neither.

The report our friend Os pointed to does indeed support the concept of manmade global warming - he just can't read well enough to work it out.

    Here is the report's author:

"Earth is the warmest it has ever been since the start of the instrumental record because of human activities—and to be clear, our analysis demonstrates the ongoing warming," Professor Beaulieu said.

Personally, I think it is slightly shoddy science, as looking for "surges" in GMST is a bit like feeling the top of your oven to see how hot your dinner is.

If there was a man made climate crisis, you would expect to see it ramping up as humans use exponentially more energy.

    This hasn’t happened.

There is literally zero proof that climate change is caused by humans.

It could easily be earths natural fluctuations, or even fluctuations in the sun.

This reply says more about your fragile mindset than anything. Where did I say you were lying?

I believe that you believe what you’re saying. I’m not calling you a liar. I just disagree fundamentally with what you believe

The vast majority of the left-leaning population does not understand that money is a representation of people doing stuff to create wealth.

They believe that the wealth just spawns into reality and "inequality" is just some people being mean and keeping it all for themselves.

This is evident when they say things like "Elon Musk could feed all the homeless people and buy them all houses!"

Okay, maybe he could. But then what? Does he just... feed them again the next time they get hungry? Does he keep paying their rent and bills? How long could that go on before he's broke?

And when he is, what has he done? He's ruined himself and spent the world's greatest fortune on what? Are the people he fed going to pick up the slack and make their own SpaceX? Super unlikely!

The hate he gets is unbelievable. History will look back on him the same way it looks upon Da Vinci or Newton

So, just to be sure, it's OK for Mr Musk to call the cave rescuer a *****phile, because said rescuer did not take up Musk's offer of a submarine?

I see sausage fingers is taking another step towards complete authoritarianism by looking to jab fatties that can't work. Under the guise of safeguarding the nations health, he's investigating the possibility of coercing lardy arses into having a dose of Mounjaro by fat shaming. Originally designed to control the blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetics it also controls body weight by making the recipient feel full, but one unfortunate side effect is severe diarrhoea. That no doubt contributes to weight loss too but has to be considered against time lost in meaningful employment, obviously. So not straightforward.
Streeting suggested the medicines could be "life changing" for individuals.
He's not kidding, the time once spent lying on the couch could now be put to better use sitting on the toilet counting the tiles in the bathroom.

How long before chairman sausage makes it mandatory or maybe introduce tirzepatide into the water supply? Far-fetched a few months ago but now anything is possible with these loons.

I'm thinking more about the media/public view. If the former (shadow) ministers rebelling were Andy Burnham, Ed Balls and Yvette Cooper there'd be more interest from both the public and the media but the likes of John McDonnell and Rebecca Long-Bailey are tainted by their association with the failure of Corbyn's leadership and seen as fringe figures.

Just wait until assisted dying is passed and we get this sort of thing, Canada-style:

Caller: "My stairlift still hasn't been installed. What's going on?"
Official: "I have a letter saying that if you’re so desperate, madam, we can offer you medical assistance in dying."

    https://www.theguardian.com/politic...pying-on-keir-starmer-when-he-was-a-barrister

"An undercover police officer has admitted that he spied on Keir Starmer while he was a radical barrister, a public inquiry has heard.

The police spy has said that he accessed confidential details of the legal advice that Starmer was giving to two environmentalist campaigners in the well-known McLibel case in the early 1990s.

The advice Starmer provided for the McLibel two has played an important part in his life and his subsequent political career. for 10 years he defended Helen Steel and David Morris when they were sued for libel by McDonald’s. They fought all the way and won.”

Now the covert monitoring of the McLibel pair, including Starmer’s legal help, will be scrutinised in the coming months at the inquiry. It will also hear allegations that Starmer’s legal advice was shared with McDonald’s to help the corporation win the case.

The public inquiry is examining how police deployed about 139 undercover officers to spy on more than 1,000 political groups between 1968 and at least 2010.

One was John Dines who infiltrated anarchist and environmental groups between 1987 and 1991.

During his deployment, he formed a two-year intimate relationship with Steel, but concealed from her the fact that he was employed by the Special Demonstration Squad (SDS), a covert Scotland Yard unit, to spy on her and her circle of campaigners. She eventually pieced together disparate clues to expose him after he disappeared without a trace."

I don’t get your angle on this. This is exactly the kind of policy I imagine you would love. “Lazy benefit sponges to receive diet shots and get back to work”. It is straight out of the right wing playbook.

I also don’t think anyone is being forced - and 90% of the callers I heard on the radio tonight were complaining that they wanted this drug but can’t have it as they work.

There are ZERO low energy countries which are successful.

The clown show of net zero and the imaginary climate crisis are doing nothing except turning Britain and Europe into a 3rd world country.

The climate cultists always forget that energy usage is roughly equal to the quality of life of a country. The insane policies that Milland etc. want to implement will make like more expensive, more difficult and less pleasant in a country that is already deteriorating rapidly.

Green energy is not low energy, bro. The art of making noise and yet saying nothing continues.

We have all said stupid stuff when we are angry.

One insult does not diminish the work of arguably the most successful human in existence

Being a successful snake oil salesman and con artist doesn’t make a person admirable in my book.

But if you adore the man so much, why don’t you write to him and ask him to take you to Mars?
