Vega has a track record of slagging us off over several years, and has more than the whiff of a grifting conman, so I'm with the club on that one

I don’t particularly like Vega and see him say stuff I don’t agree with but for me an ex player should get free tickets from time to time. Other clubs do it but Spurs charge. Another thing that doesn’t reflect well on the owners imo.

I mean, his CB partner under Gross better not be getting any free tickets if he wants to come to our stadium...

I agree with the sentiment but where do you draw the line?

Gazza is a club legend.

Vega was imo symptomatic of the 90s malaise and contributed relatively little to the club.

Would you be ok with Ndombele or Paulinho getting free tickets every time they felt like it?

It also has to be said there's potential reasons for telling Gazza to do one

The more obvious one is the club not wanting to give freebies to a wifebeater

The alternative is the club has offered to pay for his rehab but he turned us down, which Gazza himself has admitted, so it is worth wondering if the club have decided that if he's not going to get the help he clearly needs then he's not getting anything out of us

I'm not sure how much truth there is to it, but I heard that around the time we moved into the new stadium, he was given free entry into one of the hospitality lounges and to put it lightly, took full advantage of the free champagne and beer and it ended up being quite embarrassing for all involved.

Again, not sure how true but wouldn't suprise me if it is.

I'm sure we've all got very fond memories of Gazza, but his behaviour in recent years has been appalling.
The club supposedly put him through rehab on more than one occasion too, according to various reports.

I suspect that he's specifically not getting certain free tickets because the club would prefer not to be associated with his acts.
Domestic violence, racism and various other criminal offences probably leave other ex-players higher up on their list.

We all know about his mental health and addiction issues, which weren't helped by the press.
The spotlight just isn't a good place for him to be, unfortunately.
