One of the things that protected the US from a megalomaniac President are the two houses and the fact that the Federal govt run most of the 'nuts and bolts' of Government and are largely bipartisan like our civil service. I was switching between ABC who hosted it and FOX news for the analysis, and the lack of critical analysis from FOX about that claim was notable. They were just trying in vain to say that he landed a few punches, when it was clear to anybody watching that he was just on one of his random rants.
