Seen a tweet earlier saying it was some sort of 1.6 rating for batting. Where 10/10 is ridiculous and 1 is a road.
Feel for Pope. Seems to really struggle scoring as captain. Not watching but the scorecard suggests there are runs to be had on this pitch.
He's not a captain. I don't really understand the decision to hand it to him (or the vice captaincy). I'd argue his place in the side isn't even secure given his erratic form. Problem is, the side is so young that there aren't many candidates other than Root and possibly Crawley
Enjoying Root freed up from it to much to imagine anything going back to him. Trouble is with Stokes' injury record you really need a very good vice ready to step in.
Some speculating who's going to win.....that will need something very special.....odds on draw imo. Next match here as well....hope they can do something with the pitch.
If we can bat another 2 sessions at 5 an over then we could be 220 ahead by tea tomorrow. That might put a bit of pressure on Pakistan, particularly with their poor recent form. In all likelihood it will be a bore draw
Agree. It will require a capitulation from Pakistan batting.....it's always possible,but highly unlikely on this pitch.
