There's a whole host of possibilities at this point, but the Premier League pretending it's nothing is not going to wash. There's a split in the Premier league vote and it's close.
The amendments they made to stifle us in Feb of last year need to be removed/rewritten. The bar and timescales for deciding what is fair value needs to be better/faster. That’s the only bit that affects us, but I think it’s enough to remove some shackles we have. It also means Arsenal, Spurs and Man U could face a period of significant quietness as they have large shareholder loans which should now be factors in PSR.
So yeah, basically if people can't be bothered to read it, this is the main point: "This case is not directly related to the Premier League disciplinary commission which will hear 115 charges against City for allegedly breaching its financial regulations, some of which date back to 2009."
In my non-solicitor view, it appears that Premier League have been shown to have abused their position by taking restrictive practices too far in law. Some of the Premier League rules have been judged unlawful. One of the judgement points that was mentioned was that relating to a confidential file that the Premier League have got on past sponsorship deals, which is used to judge on whether newer are similar or outrageously blown up etc. The panel found this file to be unfair as they don't let any clubs see it, and instead actually force clubs to prove that their deals are fair. This begs the question of the validity of that file and whether they need to share it with clubs. If they share all the sponsorship deals that football clubs have previously got to correct this procedural unfairness, is that a breach of confidentiality to all the clubs? If they don't, how can they continue to judge sponsorship deals and then block some of them?
Tell me it's great news for your client Newcastle without telling me https://x.com/nickdemarco_/status/1843334109122134278?t=YlIG3f1wAF0abJ_Cmy-SJQ&s=19 Unlawful
It's not why we're interested.. it's the rules they voted in on sponsorship a week after out takeover
Yeah this is something I alluded to earlier.. we already know 5 clubs are fighting against the rules, so all they need is two more and the Premier League is ****ed. Like you're asking will the Turkey's vote for Xmas. The clubs running on interest free loans that is.
Nick De Marco has commented and referred to his clients by not commenting. He has been instructed. Someone or several someones are about to go after the PL.
The ****house clubs are feeling the heat.. they'll be desperate to get some **** reformed rules past a vote. I personally don't think they'll get it this time... the Premier Leagues going to be systematically destroyed. The little Webb they've been spinning is being picked apart.
