That’s been doing the rounds for years.

1. it’s leazes park so planning issues initially.
2. If they get planning will take ****ingvyears for ecology reports.
3. There will be some rare, one of a kind endangered snail habitat that ****s it up.
It would not surprise me if suddenly some great crested newts appeared from nowhere

Given the wildlife challenges, could they not come to an agreement with the university to build new student accommodation, then just seek permission to build on the terrace in exchange for redevloping the park and surrounding area?

Surely that would be infinitely more cost effective.

NB. Just offering an opinion, doesn't impact me in the slightest....

There's student accommodation all around that area with a lot of it falling to pieces (has ****e Grenfell style cladding all over them) on Pitt Street, My personal thoughts would be purchase those, knock them down, purchase a couple of the ****e looking uni buildings and build opposite The Earl on the waste ground there. (LEAVING THE ****ING EARL WELL ALONE)

I also heard they’re appointing someone specifically to drive this and attached projects, someone from the RB side and an expert on property management?

Idea of distance from current ground

It's strange that Newcastle United have their signs all over those walls leading up to the Earl
you would need to get express permission from the owner, of the wall / land if you are not already the owner of the wall and land
then again, you would have to have planning permission to put signage on the wall in any case (avertising consent at least)

Sure the club owned all the brewery site until a certain chubby owner started flogging it all off to himself for a £1 a pop.

Also the foundation HQ is literally 100 feet away.....

And The Earl is up for sale for "tentative enquiries" <whistle>

It could be the reason why no development work has started at that site when the vast majority of the Brewery site is already
up and running for the last couple of years

The original plans for that area was for social housing, which would have been quicker to plan organise and build upon
than the multi storey buildings that have been already built and are now occupied
