I'm finding it OK ... but then I am a bit of a LOTR nerd ... but I accept your criticisms ... have to say, never thought they could make so much of the forging of the rings themselves ... was almost a throw away line in the book ... I.e. Sauron deceived the elves...
is it one of them dark mental things like the Joker was with Joaquin Phoenix? Or have I got the wrong penguin ?

Strike- An uncivil war Tells the story of the lead up to and the grim times of the year long miners strike. Lots of interviews with miners and their families from all over the country. Lots of interviews with coppers of the time. Lots of evidence that Thatcher and her government encouraged the strike, turned the police into rabid dogs and set them on British civilians. Pretty much an age old story. 8/10
ROP S2:E7 At last. The producers decided to focus on just one (and a bit) story arcs and low and behold as if by magic a fantastic episode emerges. The drawback of course in doing this is that it just reinforces how much we couldn't give a toss about the other storys arcs. I'm now nervous the entirety of E8 will be spent following Possibly-Gandalf as he looks for a twig.
Mostly it is. I've stuck with it out of sheer loyalty to Tolkien's brilliance. But today's episode was genuinely solid.
Wolfs - 7 It’s not the best film you’ll ever see but there’s enough quirky comedy and a bit of action to make it an enjoyable watch.
Grotesquerie New series. Serial killer getting all religious on their victims as a pretty much fùcked up lady detective takes up the case. Rather silly overly clichéd thriller that is actually pretty watchable, if you ignore the stupid plot. The murdee scenes are very graphic and we'll staged. There's actually a good story building and the lead actress does a good job. Mad Nuns being given carte Blanc on crime scenes is very silly though. 7/10 Wolfs Pitt/Clooney do a decent job in an equally silly crime caper. 7/10
