I don't think he needs replacing though, he just needs to realise what his role is. If he doesn't act upon this realisation then I do think they will seek to replace, rightly or wrongly
Change is coming.... They'll let the current regime go out of their shield though because they still have the support of the fans. I suspect they decided they wanted an overhaul in the summer and that's why they didn't sign any players.
Not one of the players are playing anywhere near their potential this season. Something is drastically wrong, and it’s coincided with Mitchell coming in. Stavely out, and conflict with Howe. Seems he wants too much say. He’s a rotten apple imo. Hope I’m proved wrong.
You are aware that absolutely none of those goals had anything to do with Trippier? Schar gave too much space for the first Pope made a huge mistake for the second Bruno made a huge mistake for the third
Point being, we'd conceded 1 in each of three games, and none v Southampton, unbeaten without him, why change it?
Point being none of those goals had anything to do with Trippier, they were all mistakes by other players, so singling out Trippier makes no sense. And the change was cos he didn't want to over exert Tino I imagine.
Must admit we can’t moan about non rotation, then complain when he rotates!! Fair enough if Trips was at fault but he wasn’t really.
Individual players aren’t the issue, aside from the truly crap ones - the issues run deep in the fact we haven’t tactically or structurally evolved even slightly in 2 years or more. If anything we’re going backwards. It all started to turn to **** when Milan beat us at SJP. It was a tactical ****show and we’ve never really recovered. The League Cup debacle as well, when Popes stupidity cost us a chance - yet here we are with Pope still costing us goals, kicking like he’s blind, because Howe will not go for quality over plodding loyalty. We missed a huge opportunity in messing up the Emery appointment, but the time has come to change up the manager.
We’re short of everything. It’s the look of a side who’ve lost faith in the manager. We are relying on individuals to get us out of trouble, that’s a Bruce tactic. We are neither keeping it tight nor causing problems nor attacking at pace nor controlling games nor hitting on the counter. We look lost, and that is 100% down to management or lack thereof.
It's actually very like Bruce's first season... I remember the side getting results and people saying he was lucky. It appears like you're going to be proven demonstrably right all along about Howe, his formation and his signings tbh mate. I suppose it's football, so they could suddenly find another gear and bag a few big wins, but I honestly think the run of games could see a change at the club.
