At my mate’s wedding do at Bowbirn hall today. Watching the England game in the bar sat next to a mag.
He literally turned and said that Newcastle have the best midfield 3 in the premier league in Tonali, Bruno and Joelinton.
Then went on to say the same about their front three on Isak, Gordon and Barnes.

Nonidea why they haven’t won the league yet. When I said none of those players get in ahead of Rodri, De Brutne etc. he argued again!

Ironically, another mag who is here couldn’t look him in the eye and agree. He knows how embarrassing it sounds!
****ing hell man. They cannot help themselves.

The 6 players mentioned there are very good (jury is out on Tonali and Barnes as they haven't played enough games) - I'm a huge fan of Isak and I think Joelinton is a beast of a player

BUT

There is a reason they are playing for a team that is essentially a top of middle table and not a Man City, and Arsenal or even a Chelsea. Newcastle fans are desperate to consider themselves part of the elite, but in reality - apart from the odd anomaly over the last 20 years - they are miles away from being an establish top 6 side. The truth of the matter is that if City, Arsenal, Liverpool etc came calling for any of those players listed, they would be away like a shot.

Newcastle fans know this. They KNOW they know this, but through some sort of misplaced bravado they will never admit it.

Arrogant, deluded ****s.

Top players in Upcoming “fifa that isn’t fifa”, not a Newcastle player in sight. Rodri second on the list, de bruyne up there too, and Foden and Haaland etc. not a Newcastle player in sight!

Not so much rewriting history but ignoring the irony that it is so iconic to them they let it rust to hell :-D

Shearer that bastion of the iconic number 9 shirt rewrote history when he said that he skied his probably against us at their place instead of Tommy Sorenson saving it. Those bastards make everything up to suit themselves

@Somebodys pinched my sombrero what is the reason why your lot do this? Do they think they’re being clever?

On my stream there was a clear shout of 'Newcastle, newcastle" which must have been a sad mag **** located near the commentary box.

It's ****ing baffling to be honest. It's sad enough going and wearing ya mag shirt but to shout Newcastle. What the **** have they got to do with it?

I reckon the sad **** is probably from Plymouth and chose the mags in 92!

There were loads of lads in the Army who did similar not necessarily the mags although I knew one but could never pin him down on a team one week he would say Man Utd next week he would say Mags. The team chosen was usually Liverpool or Utd!

Best was the lad I knew who would tell anyone who asked he was Liverpool fan! He came from Grimsby, was featured on that soccer am thing in Iraq wearing his Liverpool shirt.

Then I saw him comment on social media post of some lads holding a Man Utd flag saying Grimbsy branch or something on it. The cheeky ****er had the audacity to comment on the post that they needed to sort themselves out and get down to Blundell Park and support Grimsby.

Sure he’s got Argyle tracksuit bottoms on? Newcastle have a good rapport with Plymouth fans after winning promotion at their ground in 2010. Possibly could have swapped the shirt with a Newcastle fan at the game.
Either way, it’s a bit daft, but more than likely he’s a Plymouth fan.
Tags don’t work, btw.

Saudi FC 3rd in the league without playing well in a single game. I'd be worried if I were them - the PL finds you out eventually
