Any fans on here? Some great games this weekend. Bears getting beat 17-0 won 24 -17 Some great comebacks I'm a Bills fan and was happy to see them win, but Josh Allen makes some awful mistakes then makes up for it with scoring 2 touchdowns. And in the same divisional table, the Dolphins won 20-17 with Tyreek Hill being arrested before the game and was released just before the game started to score a touchdown. Thus this celebration. please log in to view this image I know it's early doors, but I think the Bears have a greatc chance ths season and the Bills once again will flatter to decieve, never been the same since Singleterry left and now Diggs has gone. Who's your team and who are you tipping for the Superbowl?
I don't follow it as much as I used to....can't take the late nights anymore!....but I've always liked the Bears since the Walter Payton and William Perry days. They've not done anything recently, but have drafted a bright young QB,so hoping for better this year, although he didn't shine so much on his debut. I'll be looking out for them this season. As a side note, shows how the draft system tries to retain competitiveness throughout the divisions....unlike our Premier League!
Yeah big fan, niners fan - looking forward to our match tonight Allen is def a hit n miss, but he just makes things happen - I have him in my fantasy team so was buzzing with his comeback Some quality games last night The eagles are my pick this yr, just feel they've got a bit of everything - hoping the niners do it as Purdy due a new contract at end of season so that'll impact us Whose your pick
Cheifs have knocked the Bills out of the Superbowl the last two seasons but the Bills beat them in the regular season. Mahomes always seems to find a pass, I often thought he took too much time and was lucky, but if you look at the stats, that's not luck, that's skill.
Just for interest....the Chicago Bears are 80% owned by a 101 year old lady, whose father founded the club well before WW2,who,11 children and 40 grandchildren later, still chairs the board! Remarkable!
Raiders fan. Simply from youth. Had a Raiders top before I had a Sunderland one. Not planned my uncle brought me it. I will get to a game see that incredible stadium at some point. Clearly they aren’t a contender and the Chiefs will likely win it again bit there’s some genuine contenders this year. The problem is the don’t have PM, who will go down as not only the best the NFL has ever seen, when he finishes he be in same breath as the G.O.A.T of everything, MJ. You cannot beat Mahomes when it’s on the line.
Ha, snap. And for exactly the same reason. But heightened by them moving to Vegas and it being the US city I've visited most (my Mrs sees it as a kind of second home). Can't say I pay them that much attention though- I'm more of Golden Knights fan. Maybe we need an NHL thread too. Preseason is about to start and season starts on 4th Oct with the Global Series.
You know mate I actually used to watch a fair bit of the hockey when was a kid, usually for the scraps. Haven’t watched it for years. NFL & NBA I love. NBA is a tie with the f1 for my second sport. Also a big fan of Vegas been a few times and we going in May. Doesn’t hit NFL season sadly. They need an NBA team and it’s only a matter of time until they get one. You aren’t missing out ignoring Raiders mate they a long way off, but will gradually creep up in next few years. They ain’t winning **** while Mahomes exists anyway.
Bears fan here as well. A mate had a Bears school bag so I'd heard of them before getting into the sport in the late 80s. The 49ers, the Giants and the Bills were the dominant teams I remember from those few years. Lucky win for Caleb Williams' first start. They all count, I suppose! Their anaemic run game was concerning so got to get that sorted.
Aye, we've discussed Vegas before I think. They'll have an NBA team before long, I reckon. Last time I was there, everyone was saying the plan is to make it the sports capital of the US. The Tropicana is being knocked down on 9th Oct to make way for the new baseball stadium, so they're well on their way to having all the major sports. NBA will crown it though. I'll be there in May too. That will be NHL playoff time so Knights tickets will be harder to come by. In New York for Christmas though so will try and get Rangers tickets. Definitely want to get to the Allegiant for a game sometime if I'm in Vegas at the right time of year.
I don't have a team but I love watching the NFL. Used to work nights years ago and that was the only thing on in the middle of the night, so got into it then. I'd like to see KC win the 3, just for Mahomes really, the blokes a freak although he's less maverick than he used to be. Got a feeling the Eagles will win this year, that running line up is a joke
I really can't take to Williams but he was class in the college games I watched The Bears D is so underrated - that's what won them the game last night
Aye, the gear's canny. Had a bit of stuff over the years. It's criminal how bad Chicago sports has been. I don't know enough about the ins and outs of what's gone on. The Bears recent history reminds me of Sunderland a bit. They have attempted to go for the 'win now' route over recent years but have royally ****ed it up. Had root and branch changes over the last couple of seasons and now on the cusp of building something decent. Don't know about the Bulls or other Chicago sides. Used to follow NBA a bit but it didn't grab hold of me.
With any luck he'll be benched soon. Making the playoffs in 2022 was the worst thing to happen to this team, gave Jones a huge contract after it when the better move was to let him walk then. Makes it even more painful seeing former Giants who would still be here if it wasn't for that contract playing well this weekend, Saquon, McKinney for the Packers and Love for the Seahawks.
Aye I thought it was a shocking contract at the time but looks worse now Couple decent QB prospects will be in the draft nxt yr so will be hoping for one of them
It's been just as bad for the Blackhawks. Finished bottom of the Central Division last two seasons and had the second worst record in the league last season. It is only 10 years since they won their last Stanley Cup mind.
