Playing more centrally means that he's got more space and options and is less predictable and harder to defend against. However, only using his left side is still limiting. Yes, he's got a wand of a left foot, but his right isn;t terrible, at all, and if he just used it a bit more, enough so that defenders didn;t know for certain which one he was going to use, he'd be close to unplayable.
