Already buzzing for the start of the NFL season - even if the Vikings struggle this year as pretty much everyone is predicting. Sky have already released which games they are showing for the first 2 Sunday's. In week 2 they are showing the Vikings-49ers game. Apparently the show will be coming from Minnesota rather than the studio so hopefully we don't get beaten too badly! Mind you I think we beat them last year, although that may have been because CMC wasn't fully fit.
Yeah I’m looking forward to the season. Can’t see the Vikings doing well, but with my positive hat on hopefully they can get a high draft pick to trade and re-coup picks for the draft next year they’ve already spent. Think they’ve only got a first rounder until the fifth round, they won’t be taking QB so if that is a top 5 pick they should be able to re-stock and get some much needed draft capital Giants first game (who are a fair few peoples prediction to be the worst team this year) so will give a reasonable indication of how the season could go. Doesn’t help that the division is pretty stacked now so winning it to get into the playoffs looks virtually impossible
If we are going to somehow sneak a WC spot, we simply have to beat the Giants. NFC North is set up to be an absolute power house of a division for years. Goff, Love, Williams and McCarthy could be an insane quartet of QB's. Then you look at the WR's and the talent is ridiculous there as well. It will be interesting to see how Darnold gets on this year. He's got every incentive to do well. If he can do a Geno Smith and resurrect his career he could get a nice payday next offseason. I like the look of our new rookie kicker as well.
And now a pick 6! I know it's only the Giants and Jones is crap but this sends a message. Most predictions for this game was for a low scoring ****fest.
