I am rather hoping we can off-load some players that are now considered surplus to requirements to put the icing on what has to be considered as one of the busiest transfer windows for a long time. This has now definitely become Liam's team and squad and I truly believe that we look better than at any time in recent years but we still need to overcome some of the hurdles with which we struggle. A stronger more resilient defensive line is needed to prevent some of the booboos that we often self-create and a problem that has lost us many points when we looked a sure fire winner. Our scoring capability has improved beyond belief and I just hope the gloss doesn't wear off anytime soon because it was a huge problem last season and it appears to be fixed for now but we need to keep up the pace. Some of the players who arrived with fanfares over the last few campaigns seem to have lost their sparkle and perhaps the fight for places all across the pitch may bring them back to life. All in all I am satisfied with our in depth transfer business and rather hope that the new blood will make our heartbeat stronger than before and give us what we have rightly deserved for way too long. Good luck to Liam and the boys and now it's over to you all to give us a hopeful season at last. :emoticon-0148-yes:

I am always positive at this time of the season ( generally without good reason ) but it's hard not to upgrade positive to bullish. We definitely have more depth than the last few seasons where we suffered badly through injuries and IMO we have better quality than last season COYR

Liam Manning has been backed-Nige was not - No excuses top six a must.

That is getting boring RR. Nige did a very good job at stabilising and working within tight constraints and laid the foundations for the building we are now seeing. He is rightly applauded for that. As puzzling as it was to most you can see the board had a plan starting with hiring a more progressive coach to then release the funds to improve the team. Agreed LM has been backed, but why wouldn't he be if the owners want to progress? And progress means finishing higher than under Nige. I do think we have an outside chance of playoffs this year but would expect it within the next three, otherwise failed

Mark Robbins summed it up perfectly- His words Don't underestimate what Nigel Pearson did in allowing Liam Manning to do what he is doing now.

We aren’t underestimating what Nige did, I was furious with how he was treated, BUT, we now have to move on, recognise the part Nige played in allowing the spending that’s taking place, and hope our present gaffer Liam Manning can take us to success. COYR

Like what happened at Leicester
vaguely and tentative actions ... since he has gone a whole new kettle of fish ....

YEP SOME OF THE PLAYERS HE SIGNED STILL HERE BUT but the playing formations and type of play has changed ..NP didnt like him for first 15 months or so grew on me but although I thought we a "better team" he had/ has that underlying ego based aggression! of being "Im in charge".......
