No idea how Pope is considered International class

Looking forward to see how he sets them and what the approach is didnt mind watching his Under 21 teams

Trying to work out who is missing from that. No left backs isn't great - albeit there's slim pickings I guess. Feels like too many tens/right sided forwards. Are they hiding it by arbitrarily splitting them across midfielder and forward groups?

Only disappointment for me is no Wharton. Think Branthwaite will take Maguires spot once he's fit as well.

Haven't seen much of Gomes but he was crucial to the way the u21s played last summer.

 

Norton-Cluffy, Quansah, Cresswell, Harwood-Bells or even Callum Doyle

 

Surprised Leif Davis hasn't had a call up to be honest. Livramento or Colwill as LB options doesn't seem great.

Angel Gomes is the real random call, but I guess Carsley has used him at U21 level in the past.

Madueke and Gibbs-White are decent shouts to see if they can step up.
